I’m no audio guy but what makes you go that direction? Can you bypass the amp to rule it out?
I’m back to no sound till it warms up but sometimes I’ll get a little static out of a speaker till then. There’s many things I’ll tolerate but no radio isn’t one of them.
I pulled the radio out after the motor work and hit all the big solder joints with my iron. Blew out the cd player also. After reinstalling, I found the cd player will read cds now and I’ll have to wait for a cold day to see if it helped.
Yukon had developed a knock if I idled for an extended period of time. It has slowly gotten worse while maintaining 40psi oil pressure. So I decided on an oil pump and cam retainer plate while changing all the associated seals and checking the rod bearings. All the rod bearings looked great but...
It was 50* this morning and I had no sound. I cranked the heater all the way up and halfway to work I had enough heat the radio gave a kind of crackle/pop and I had sound. I may go over every solder joint this weekend for grins
Figured out why the back doors quit locking and unlocking. Dirty contacts in the relays on the driver side of the dash. A little sandpaper work and they are back in business.
Winner winner chicken dinner. Amazon 12v 3mm bulbs worked fine and the bulb covers fit. They gave it a light blue tint, I almost pulled it back out to remove the covers but I’ll give it some time. The factory bulb covers came off fine but are to big for my bulbs or I would’ve used them.
Thanks, after seeing they were sold out on their website I ordered some 12v 3mm bulbs on amazon and some bulb covers. Hopefully be able to knock it off the list when they come in on Friday.
All 4 O2 sensors seem to be reading, the voltages all bounce around. Not sure what else to test to confirm it’s the cats.
Battery voltage fluctuates I assumed it was normal operation with the factory setup. That pic was at an idle after a 30min drive, could be an under sized battery?
As for...
Just a rough idle but it drives fine. I’ve pulled the plugs to find pretty new looking NGK’s.
Current codes are P0420, P0430, and P0455.
Throttlebody has been thoroughly cleaned.
Not sure what commanded idle is but it idles at mid 550-600rpm.
I put a smoke machine in the intake to find any...
After a bunch of searching this is what some used and I bought a can to touch up my glove box. It matches very well to the darker tan. Kinda pricey for paint. Washed parts with dish soap, let dry and did a few light coats. So far it sticking great, even had to get onto the kids for putting...
I’m casually shopping for a bi directional scanner. I’ve used a friends Autel Maxipro 900 a few times and I liked how functional it was. I don’t like the $1,3XX price tag for how little I’ll use it. Is there anything similar or equally awesome but less expensive?
Went to the junkyard and got the rear wiper stop piece that someone broke on mine. Got the glovebox handle replaced and touched up the paint on the glove box, I should’ve take a before and after. Then pulled the back door panel off to see if I could figure out why it sometimes locks and unlocks...
Thanks but it hasn’t rained here in a good month. I may check it just to make sure tho, as you said with the age of these I wouldn’t doubt it leaks also.
You referring to this?
Been driving the Yukon for a month now and dealing with a musty smell. I pulled the carpet out when I first got it, washed it and let it dry before putting it back in. Well, today I went on a little over an hour drive and went to get some tools I sat in the passenger floor board only to find the...
