To stop the master cyl from running dry when you open the system....figure out a way to hold the brake pedal down about half way or even all the way down. This shuts off the refill ports for the master cyl. I use a piece of 2 x 4....but secure it becuz once you open the system it may want to...
We changed the cam, water pump, starter, engine mounts, exhaust manifold bolts, oil pump, oil pressure sensor and valley cover on mine with almost 200k mileage. Good Luck
Yep. Hot idle. I don't think I can change to g/sec on scanner, but will check again.
Have to hook up again to get fuel trims.....on adding trims.....+7 + -5 = 2 or just add the numbers....as in +7 + -5 = 12 ?????????? which way to do it..... thanks Fless. I tried the @Fless but couldn't...
Hi Fless.....we were talking about this , so thought I would look for you and see what you thought...............
my scanner gives a MAF if .89 lb/min.....I figured that is 6.73 g/s.
My engine is a 5.3. What do you think ?
Truck is surging at idle....from almost dying to about 700 and back and forth....but not all the time.
It has the cam in it now and has been awhile. I took it back to the tuner and he checked it out and says it runs great and sees no problem....because it never did it with him....ha ha
I think...
I got the Truck Norris NSR cam in mine. Runs good but idles badly. I must take back to tuner to fix that. New water pump, starter and hoses. No head work (just valve guides/seals) .
