    Make sure your parking brake is completely released. Even an 1/8" on the parking brake pedal will deactivate the DRL.

    I would verify that you are top dead center on #1 cylinder, and reposition the distributor. The distributors on these 5.7L are rotated with the "ear" for the distributor cap screw almost hard against the back of the intake manifold.

    Just took the dust cover off for the Spring. I need to get an OEM style light grey carpet kit, and some factory shock absorbers for my '97 2 Door. Then I am hoping to get collector plates. If anyone knows where to order the carpet, please let me know. Thanks.

    1999 Yukon Rear Seat

    The rear seat is stuck in the folded forward position correct? Crawl in the back, and pull up on the spring loaded panel that covers the rear seat belt anchors, then lift up on the backrest of the rear seat. Sometimes it just binds up on the rear seat.

    Just by the pictures, I would start by giving it a good spray lube, then troubleshoot from there.

    Push in the "Overide" button by the headlight switch, instead of pulling the fuse. I have run my truck for years like this. I will check my barn doors now that I am thinking on it. I have replaced both contacts at front doors.

    Turn the key without cranking the engine, you should hear the humming of the fuel pump, as it is priming. I have changed 2 fuel pumps on my '97 Yukon. Like other forum members, I would warn against dropping your fuel level below 1/4. Last time my Pump quit, the plastic electrical connector...
