If you replace the ball joints only you still have old bushings unless you replace them too. All that work and tools and aggravation is more than a new OE control arm.
I did save my old ones, thinking I'd replace the wear items and have them ready in ten years but now they're getting closer...
I asked because of your comments about AGM batteries. Your system is designed to charge them properly. The OPs truck is not optimized to charge them properly.
Did you perform the Adapts function after this? Even so, it takes a few days for the engine and transmission computers to learn so the driving will improve over time.
Ok, test it out in those positions and let us know.
Running around in 4Auto wears out the components prematurely. It was not made for daily use over the life of the vehicle. Folks who drive in 4Auto all the time are lucky to get 100K miles on their transfer case before requiring overhaul.
Stay with 2" lift like the kit GM sells with the new struts and CV axles or the cheap level.
3 inch suspension lift starts to make the angles of the suspension and drive components wonky and really need to go to 4 inches or more with drop brackets to make it reliable. Of course then you need...
Does it do it also in 4HI? If not, this seems more like a transfer case issue. If so, it's likely a front differential issue and should be taken in, drive in 2HI until it's fixed.
Do you drive in 4AUTO all the time?
Cannot recalibrate, have to replace it with new. Must use inop rod in steering wheel/column and not remove pin in sensor until latter part of installation.
You didn't tell me!
Well, that little doohickey says the battery is good but discharged. At 11.69 volts is definitely dead.
Do you have a battery charger or tender? If you need the car for work tomorrow, charge it at 10 amps and it should be ready around midnight.
Not necessarily. A good ground connection is critical and hard to get with many cables and a discharged battery needs the donor car to be revving the engine well above idle for a few minutes.
Have you verified that the battery is not discharged?
Put a voltmeter to the battery and measure its voltage and cross that with the ambient temperature outside to get an idea of the battery's state of charge. If it's below 65%, it's no good. Since it is new, you may just need to put it on...
I don't know what y'all think this is going to do. GM is already reacting to the problem and trying to fix it. Losing money and angering your customers is not a good way to do business. Hopefully they'll ditch their DIE hires soon and the poor decisions that lead to these failures will get...
I just ran your VIN through my secondary source and it says your truck was assembled on 11-22-2013. This makes more sense with your VIN. Usually when I see trucks made towards the end of the model year they have sequence numbers that usually start in the 300000s or 400000s...
