Get a fluid transfer pump to take some fluid out but the damage has already been done from the sounds of it.
Also who in their right mind names themselves ok tire? I wouldn't be getting any services done by a place with ok in their name unless I was in Oklahoma.
You could possibly try something like cataclean.
Sorry I'm not familiar with California laws but are you allowed to buy a carb compliant cat and have a shop weld it in? I did that on my pontiac roughly 10 years ago with a magnaflow when the oem clogged up.
The emission systems should have a longer warranty so I'd check into that like @Doubeleive said.
How many miles are on the rig? If high miles possibly 02 sensors are getting lazy.
I'm not saying it didn't happen to you but when the corvettes 6.2 is spec'd for 5w30 or 15w50 for the track and has the same rotating assembly. 5w30 should not cause any problems only better engine protection. Used oil analysis have proven this. But it's your vehicle so use what oil makes you...
You don't need a dexos rated oil. Some oil companies don't want to pay gm to have their oil dexos licensed. GM makes money off every quart or gallon of oil that has the dexos license on it plus the license fee itself. Pretty smart thing gm did in my opinion since most people with gm's will only...
I think its a good idea to have the fluids changed along with front and rear end fluids.
We got our 15 suburban over a year ago with 59k on it and the transfer case fluid did not look good and the fluid in the front diff looked horrible.
Ask or tell them you want your warranty extended.
As far as resale/trade in goes you've already past the biggest depreciation "point" and that's the first year of ownership of a new vehicle.
My opinion is if you're really concerned about the trade in/resale then get rid of it once the new...
X2. A guy isn't installing the box in the truck lol.
It would make a whole lot more sense to me if when they change suppliers to update the part numbers so the box and part both match. All it is in this case is stickers but still it would keep a guy from wondering if it is the correct part or not.
Did someone in the warehouse do a switcheroo? The part numbers on either part don't match the part numbers on the box or packing slip. I could be wrong but I'd think one of the numbers would match at least what's on the box.
X2
I do 2 fluid film applications a year. One in the spring and one in the fall. The underbody washes I don't think would do a very good job of spraying and rinsing out the holes in the frame or the body where the rust is going to initially form before it eats through and you notice it on the...
At 37 feet long and that being the dry weight it would be a hard pass especially if you're new or newer to towing.
Never go by dry weights for a camper.
Gcwr minus how much your suv weighs will give you your max towable weight.
Fix a flat or slime works great for slow leaks in atv/lawnmower tires. Going on 7 years since I put it in one tire on our polaris. I've never had to air it up since.
I'd swap out the oil filter first just out of curiosity. Could be a problem with the bypass valve or something internal on it possibly.
I used to order my oil filters from Walmart and have them shipped to me. I did that up until one filter showed up and the box was already opened and the...
I keep a ryobi 18v one in my work car at all times. It will pump up a suburban tire. A tire for my 3/4 ton ram (load e 35's) not a shot in h*** but I didn't buy it for that. Works great for what I use it for (car/ suv and atv tires). Also nice that you set the psi you want and it shuts off once...
If it's not within warranty I would recommend finding a known good smaller shop. If you can't do the work yourself for a job costing this much I would get multiple quotes if of course you don't know of a shop that does great work.
Fram xg line says they're good for 20k and their fe line says 25k but why someone would go that long especially when changing the oil multiple times throughout that period.....
I use their fe line in my vehicles but it gets changed every 5k with the oil. Oil and filters are cheap compared to...
I could be wrong but I think when dodge switched the tone rings they switched their canbus system also. So if even if you did switch the harness you'd have to switch out the gauge cluster too otherwise the motor won't talk to the cluster/interior harness. Dodges wiring/computer systems are way...
They're selling them again on ebay. I just checked. I realized a month or 2 ago there weren't so something must have changed or the sellers found a way around it.
I just picked up an i2 for $100 with shipping off marketplace. Already had a range but can't stand the super low idle so I mainly...
Even oil filters can help raise oil pressure. Given the op has only said 5w30 high mileage makes me think a quick change oil place. Which at least around me use the cheapest of oil and oil filters. I'd never heard of the brand "mighty" for oil filters until I had to change out a lower radiator...
