    Engine hours

    My '05 2500 Silverado Duramax had the cluster replaced before I bought it. At 142k miles when I purchased I knew the hours weren't right. Unless the vehicle was used for a construction company, police, or from a fleet I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    Blend Door Actuator

    If this is a NBS Tahoe with a 4.8/5.3 , that is your drivers side blend door actuator. I believe the only differences is if it has manual hvac or auto hvac. The only other blend door actuator is for the passenger side, which is buried up in the dash. You do have actuators for recirculate and mode.

    We made it back today. 2000 miles, $470 in gas, $25.50 in Tolls, and a dash that is cracked worse now thanks to the WV roads other than the WV turnpike. Those roads SUCK!! Hwy 77 is rough. I've got to get a dashskin for it. Watched the trans temps as the 4l60e did its thing, never got over 210*...

    Wife wanted to go but didn't want to venture out in the rain to go check it out. Right beside the women's museum we went to and the rock n roll hall of fame was beside it. None of my crew was interested in either.

    We are headed to Ohio soon so I have had some repairs to do to the Tahoe. Changed the oil, transfer case fluid and output seal, both rear jounce bumpers, replaced the ac cycling switch, and the ac high pressure fitting. As I was leaving work my passenger headlight quit.... again. Pigtail burnt...

    Replaced my factory water pump and upper/lower hoses. 17 years old and was doing fine. We are headed to Ohio in July and I just felt it was time. Didn't want it to crap out while on the trip.

    Replaced my passenger mirror folding motor. No more floppy mirror and it can fold again.

    If it leaked out that quick, you should be able to see signs of oil. If you injected dye into the system, did you add freon afterwards? The compressor won't cut on if there isnt any freon in the system.

    I just replaced the pump in my 2007 Z71 Tahoe and it did not have a Bosch labeled pump. I know for a fact it was the original.

    Remote Start Troubleshooting

    I would go into the remote control door lock receiver module and see if you can look at the remote functions and see if it will register the press of all buttons. I would also clear the codes and see if that makes a difference.

    Engine hours after engine replacement?

    When I was at the dealership(2000-2009) We never reset the hours because there was not a way to unless the cluster was replaced with a new one. Mileage and hours stay with the vehicle .

    Dropped the Tahoe off to get 4 new Michelin's, alignment, and state inspection. Gotta get it ready for a trip to Ohio in July!
