96 Tahoe 5.7 leaving me stumped.

"Can hear Fuel pump kick on and ive me got pressure in the line. If anyone can give me the slightest clue please let me know! Thanks in advance" You need a fuel pressure gauge! Get a gauge and take an actual fuel pressure reading. Right from the first clue of cycling the key the diagnostic...

1996 Tahoe 2 dr. Dash Rear Wiper and Hatch switch lights not working?

I don't mean clean the actuator, I mean clean the lock that it actuates. New means nothing in today's parts world.

1996 Tahoe 2 dr. Dash Rear Wiper and Hatch switch lights not working?

The locks have decades of dirt in them. First give it a good cleaning and lube it see if it responds.

    Coolant change

To totally drain you need to remove the 2 block plugs. The left side is a pipe plug with a hex head, the right side is the knock sensor. If you remove them and the radiator drain you'll do a full drain.

    99 Starts sometimes

Start with checking battery and all of the cables, both cables both ends. Then it's always good to do a voltage drop test, do the google on how to do it properly. It will show you just where the problem is for the slow crank.

1999 tahoe LT 5.7 high mileage stumbles when cold

One thing people forget is the pump can run but at reduced pressure if the connections aren't good.

    HVAC Core

I guess the first thing is to explain exactly what you need to replace. my understanding from what you posted is you want the complete HVAC module with servo motors. In the module there is a heater core and an evaporator core, both readily available. The servo motors are also replaceable and...

1999 tahoe LT 5.7 high mileage stumbles when cold

Fiddling, not a professional term. What is the fuel pressure? Any codes? What are the coolant temp readings on the scan tool when cold, hot?

94 Blazer K1500 (key in ignition, lights on buzzer not working)

Very common for the door jamb switch to be bad, totally poor design. Also check your brake lamps, same fuse if I remember correctly.

cigarette lighter receptacle Hack! With Picture

Honestly if you need a power receptacle that is on only with the key it would be simpler to run 1 wire to that receptacle then to do this.

2004 GMC Yukon 4x4 IPC message for brake booster & MIL for ipc base brake boost?

I guess I was wondering how or why since this is the 91-99 forum. One of us is confused.

    1999 Tahoe, soft brake pedal

People don't realize the dirt from the cast iron calipers and other metallic parts in the system that they are forcing back into the valves and the MC. Brake fluid attracts water and causes corrosion which is why there is a brake fluid flush as a maintenance item on many vehicles. Most get away...

    1999 Tahoe, soft brake pedal

I have a question, when you replaced hubs or front brakes did you push the caliper pistons back without opening the bleeder screws?

    1999 Tahoe, soft brake pedal

Why not put the old booster back on. Most parts purchased today aren't as good as what is being replaced which is why replacement instead of diagnosis usually puts people further down the well. If you want a really improved pedal do the NBS swap.

    Exhaust flange above X member...

I just replaced the flange gasket on a Tahoe. I have a torch so that helped with the 2 outer ones. The inner one was so bad it just broke off. I drilled it out and put a through bolt in it like the factory should have. Now drilling it out was not easy, some of it was using a carbide grinder on...

    1999 Tahoe, soft brake pedal

There is no such thing as an odd strange thread, it's all measurable and once you know the size you just buy a plug that size, I don't even think they are metric. I can't remember the size but if you look up MC specs it should give them to you. I've had problems with ABS activation after hub...

    2dr vs 4dr cargo area

I know there is one in my daughter's 2 door, don't know the brand it was in there when we bought it. If I get a chance I'll look and see if there's any markings. Just looked, it's a Husky Liner 2210

    1999 Tahoe, soft brake pedal

Best fix I found on OBS trucks is to use a NBS MC, makes the pedal feel like you're actually going to stop. I must just be lucky but I've never had any problem bleeding these brake systems and I do have a scan tool that can do the ABS activation but never see any difference if I do it that way...

Rear Tail Light And Brake Light Out

On these trucks the low beams are made to go off when the high beams are on if it's never been modified. Does the high beam indicator on the dash come on? Sounds like the dimmer switch might be the problem. First check ground and power at the headlamp connectors and back trace from there. On...

Rear Tail Light And Brake Light Out

I'm guessing you have a 91-99 Tahoe. I would use a test light or voltmeter and check for both power and ground at the taillight and the headlamp. The 2 should not in any way be related, but I've seen stranger things.

when to replace front wheel bearings on a 4x4

Replace them and you'll be replacing them often, the junk you buy won't last as long as the factory ones. Leave the sleeping dog alone.
