Right on
Expect to hear back from dealer tomorrow
Depending on how much they want for it... I'm curious where that information is stored, and if grabbing a replacement unit is feasible. But that would only work if it comes w/ the updated range
Oookay
Update
So, it seems to be over-ranging when set to outside-air. Which swings the door towards the interior against some plastic grating.
If I stick my fingers in there and stop the door from ranging all the way, it works fine.
If I remove my fingers and allow it to go to to...
Got the actuator in
Pulled the fuse for the calibration
Watched the door close to outside air
Aaaaaand recirc still doesn't work
I'm sorry but what the ****?
Honestly I managed to get it out after just walking away and looking back at it
Ducts have just enough give that I can push them out of the way with my hand and get to everything I needed
Getting the new one in, however.... I'm in f-it-break-things territory right now. Always feels like it's...
Gents I could use another set of eyes
I'm at a bit of an impasse where it's not clear what my next step is. Looks like I should be able to scoot the vent tubes out of the way and get all the access I need, but those are held in place by basically the rest of the dash. Needs to clear the right...
Got a proper look at the thing
ugh... I don't think there's a way to get at it without pulling the dash
Excuse me while I complain about it for a week before actually doing anything
Oh lovely
I hate dash work
Doable without the dash? Or nah?
Found the entry in alldata. Instructions aren't that helpful. It's basically... "Take it out. Then put it back"
Yeah, mine's done. Need to replace the thing
Issue is I can't seem to find any info on it. Where it is, how to get to it, etc. Even alldata shows no results for "recirculation" or "blend door."
So like... Where is it? And what's the best way to get to it?
Clarification: I don't have a FB, and I have any/all associated services with facebook blocked at my router. I can't watch it.
the tl;dr of it is they touched my ****** and I won't interact with them ever again. A hard line has been drawn
agree
Op, I implore you.... Do NOT use a compression fitting
Those things are for like... 3 digit pressures. Not 4 digits that your brakes are under.
Like VietVet said, you had to union 2 lines, a double flare would be preferable. Interference mechanical fit, not just friction.
But like...
I run similar in mine
Amsoil 75w140 in the diffs, with a slight overfill to make up for slower drainback on the thicker fluid (~10mm over stock. That nets out to the top of the fill port on the front, and bottom of the fill port on the rear. No dipstick method). Can argue semantics on it, but...
It really is
Had a chat with outsourced customer service yesterday. Like.... No, sorry, I'm not giving out PII to some unknown entity.
Ain't that step 1 on what literally everyone says to avoid scams or info leaks or anything else?
(This was something super minor but now my need to be petty...
If you need to park it for cooling, flip the a/c on
That will kick your efans on and pull air through the radiator. Else they will only activate based on coolant temp. Which flows through the radiator, and across the transmission's radiator-located heat-exchanger.
Hot coolant through rad...
