2015 Yukon XL Fox vs OEM ride quality?

I used to have a discount code set up when i was advertising for them:“juicier” I don’t know if they are still honoring it. Doesn’t hurt to ask if they are still (and they will call me and tell me to stop it lol)

2015 Yukon XL Fox vs OEM ride quality?

I’m fairly well versed and I’m still an idiot. The GM of ADS has a Yukon, so he developed the shocks for his own vehicle. So extra Gucci design that we all benefit from.

2015 Yukon XL Fox vs OEM ride quality?

You can call ADS racing and they have a 2.5 front and rear set up. If you tell them what type of driving you do they will tune the shocks accordingly. Fox won’t do that and king requires you to know what valve stack to put in

Z71 is 15.55 and 7.95” travel Z85 is 15.55 and 7.20” travel Z95 is 15.42 and 7.22” travel Arnott as3429 is listed...

Can you measure the amount of shaft showing when they are fully extended? Also the length from mounting bearing to mount bearing (fully extended length?)!!

    Adding front bump stops?

Not yet. They were supposed to be shipped yesterday but I have a feeling they forgot to extend the reservoir hoses and did it after i asked them to confirm it yesterday. So that means I won’t get them until Friday or Saturday.

    Adding front bump stops?

I found some notes. This is for a 2015i GMC Yukon XL, 4wd, 6.2l 8 speed with 275/65/18 cooper atp 2 at 38 psi. With z71 rear springs: Rear ground to lip is 38 1/4 Rear Center of wheel to lip 22 3/4 With ADS coilovers, 600# springs, I adjusted the preload to give me these numbers: Front...

    Adding front bump stops?

Chalk? Does your coilover have a bump on it? Just move it to the top of the shaft and see if it makes it to the bottom. I’m attaching a pic of my rear shock. I wanted to see how much travel I used during a certain drive. I keep forgetting you have the bds kit. I was going to ask you to give me...

Huge thank you btw!! Ordering those fronts now

    Adding front bump stops?

Bds only wants to sell bds. It is what it is. But that kit may work awesome I’m running the ads coilovers. They have a little more travel than stock, which is nice. But my wife drives like it’s a tank or bulldozer. They are off for a rebuild right now and a little stiffer high frequency...

    Adding front bump stops?

Anybody have any ideas on adding front bump stops with factory arms? Offroad, and even just crappy roads on road and the front just gets hammered. Even with a 2.5” coilover and 600# spring and the bump on the coilover shaft… it’s just not enough. I truly wonder if this is why the magnetic...

Just saw this. Sorry. I need to go find it

    Trailer brake controller pn?

I’m getting the “service brake controller” code and it is said that the common fix is a new brake controller switch. I can’t find it on the gmc parts website. Anyone know what the correct part number is for a 2015 gmc Yukon Denali Xl?

    Rough country UCA update

The boot had been split on a seem or cut by a knife during packing. Who knows. But it was a clean split and it was there during install. I thought it was a purge vent in an odd spot during assembly. I could not notice any unusual wear on the joint. The arms were assembled with a torque wrench...

    Rear lift springs???

I put them in the comments. I’ll go back and check when I get better reception. I have 1 bar and no WiFi so no YouTube access at the moment

    2019 Suburban mid travel

I like that fox uses a threaded bar. Rather than a nut and bolt like factory or king or ADS. As for the sway bar removal, I read that the MRC equipped vehicles use really soft sway bars and that the traction control and suspension control module used the adjustable shock to help counter sway...

    Ads coilover and lift springs

I just figured with Dana doing that unit bearing floater on the TrX… Maybe… Then again, the Denali Yukon XL axle is the 9.75? What ever it is is bigger than the 5.3 which is already a fairly stout axle. We have a zr2 colorado, Yukon den xl and a trx. All three have surprisingly stout axles...

    Ads coilover and lift springs

Well. It’s a lot of money for very little travel. As long as Gm uses these overly wide frames, they won’t be able to run long control arms. And with that, low wheel travel numbers. Idk why they do it… raptor 13/14, TRX 13/14, Silverado zr2 8/10, colorado zr2 8/10, atx4 8/10 And shocks that blow...

So it does. I didn’t know that. I wouldn’t spend the money on it for the shocks. That motor though… I love the 6.2 on my Yukon.

    Ads coilover and lift springs

Probably. The new Silverado zr2 seems to have the gmpp zr2 multimatics… Which are eh… better… Less travel than stock which is odd. And NOT what Chad hall runs on his truck The threaded perch ones on the truck are the hall truck, the ones on the table are the gmpp final finals. The at4 if it’s...

    Ads coilover and lift springs

They just suck. Skinny shafts… a weak main oil seal cap. They don’t come with much nitro pressure… they over heat. The valving is ok for crawlers but is terrible for any high speed stuff which the truck is advertised for. I am acquaintances with someone on the design team and that person...

First time Yukon XL owner, looking for lift and/or tire advice

Lifts with crappy shocks ruin rides. But lifts and wider tires, and jumps in OD definitely will effect mileage. But you can always swap gears to get most of that mileage back

Convert away from Z55 and lift. Extra parts suggested?

These are the proper rear shocks for the Yukon. I run the border patrol suburban rear springs and z71 suburban bump stops. Front are the rough country forged arms. Yes I know they have a bad rep but the uca they make are awesome and about $220 for the pair. Hard to tell in these shocks but the...

    Ads coilover and lift springs

Here are a couple better pictures. I ran these spare multimatics temporarily for about 300 or so miles. Those shocks are such trash. I thought “maybe they aren’t as bad as I remember” Nope. Junk. Also it’s hard to see but the ADS reservoirs aren’t clocked/angled a little bit for extra frame...
