Stranded again. No start 2010 yukon denali

4 different occasions the truck wont start. power to pretty much everything, but when you turn the key nothing, HAd to disconnect negative battery cable for a little while , then truck started right up.

We just bought the truck . Trying to research some of the previous history and looks like the last servicing gmc dealer was chasing some electrical issues. They did replace a battery cable.

anything else to check before we take it to the dealer?

Security Lock fuse inside the engine compartment on mine blew at 3am in southern Kentucky. Took me a while to figure that one out. Its a little 2 amp in the engine comp. fuse block. Also, found that when its raining the water runs off the drivers side of the hood straight into the main fuse panel wiring housing.

Change the negative battery cable, or if u have an extended warranty take it to the dealer and have them change it out! There's a TSB on this problem and any good dealer will know about it

Another vote for negative battery cable. Had the same issue with my 08 Tahoe.

I added a extra 0 Guage ground on my ground wire tightening screw. I ran it from the cable down to the chassis. There is a good chassis connection bolt right behind the shock tower on the rail holding a line.

It isn't the negative cable. There has been an issue with the power distribution block and fuse on the firewall. Instead of the fuse "popping" like it is designed to do, it will start to ground out to the firewall and cause all sorts of electrical issues including causing the engine to stall out while on the road (occured to me twice). We were able to take the fuse block off, clean all of the contacts, and replace the fuse for less than $20. It resolved all of the electrical issues of the truck. This has also been an issue with the Silverado trucks as well according to the dealership I take my truck to...
