I just bought a 2008 Suburban. The GPS works some of the time, but then other times it has some issues:

1. I was coming from Texas to Florida. I set the map to Florida. When I hit "Go" for the directions the map became disorientated, or rather, the arrow on the map was no where near where I was and it was following its own path.

2. Now when I put the map on it does the same thing. Sometimes it is correct and follows the path I am on, but other times it is way off and seemly roaming like an escaped drunken goat.

I am curious if there is a way to calibrate the GPS or reset it or give it a good talking to. Also if there is a previous thread on this please lead me to it. I wasn't able to find one on point.

Any thoughts?

Sincerely,
Almost lost.

And is that done with an updated disk. I'm guessing that is the case but I am new to the newer model. I had a 2006 Tahoe. I tried to eject a disk out of this truck, but there doesn't appear to be a disk like in the Tahoe that had to have a disk to function.

Your 2006 disk would not work in the 2008 anyways, with some Google-fu you can find what you're looking for as far as an updated disc for your specific vehicle.
