I ask because I have been thinking of doing something similar and I like how you added them to both the firewall and the hood, the areas that are lit seem perfect for the application.

Wow, thats a lot of light under the hood.

And yeah you can see quite well with the 5630's and its a nice white light as well.

i AM CONFUSED. I was told h20 did damage to electrical parts in an engine compartment, How does your system work so well. I love it

Far as water, yes and no, depends how crazy you get with the water and if you don't seal the proper things. I personally do as Ezdaar has stated and then quick rinse with the hose and all has been well. But then again, i don't let me bay get that dirty to begin with.

Nicely done! LED's are awesome. I'm inspired.
I use purple stuff when necessary. I find that Murphy's oil soap does a nice job as well. It's vegetable based and doesn't hurt plastic or vinyl. Smells a lot better too.
