Got dash replaced after a break in. The repairs were done at the Cadillac dealer last week. Everything was fixed except for onstar button cluster. The cluster was not hooked in, just resting in its place. I told them I'd bring it back after the weekend. When I returned, I sat in the waiting area while the "master fabricator" working on it proceded to superglue the cluster. The glue melted the plastic. It ruined the cluster and maybe the new dash fascia. I was so pissed.

That's why I started doing everything myself. That's the only way to know it's being done right! It seems like 5 out of 10 "proffesionals" have no idea what they're doing these days!

My alternator was going out on my Sunfire, so I took it to the dealership and told them that my alt was making a loud whining noise and that usually means it about to go out. They came back and told me that they can't hear the noise and it could also be my power steering. And since they couldn't be sure, they didn't want to change out my alt. Sure enough, the next day while I was driving down the street it went out. A buddy of mine and I picked up a new one and installed it in a close by parking lot.
