Hey everybody. New to the forum and new to owning a Yukon. I have a 2001 1500 XLT with the 5.3 that I recently purchased. When I bought the truck, it needed headlights, and my go to are 6k LEDs. After I replaced the headlights, both high and low beams, they worked beautifully for about 2 weeks. The night of St. Patrick's day, I went to start the truck and noticed my dome lights weren't working, and the headlights did not automatically pop on like they normally did. When I tried the switch in the cab, no lighting came on, including the dash lights. The clock on the radio also went black instead of dimming like it normally does. I have been troubleshooting for close to a month now and still haven't had any luck finding the issue. I have toned the wires back to the engine bay fuse block, and they tone fine. When I metered the bulb connectors for resistance, the circuit shows open. I also bought a new headlight switch just to make sure it wasn't that. I'm in over my head and could use some advice. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

I am not personally familiar with the 2001 Yukon but I took a look at the headlight schematics.

Have you confirmed a good ground at the headlight relay? Schematics indicate the headlight relay should be permanently grounded at G102 on the left side of the engine block.

I'll have to double check when it's light out. Thank you for pointing this out. My brother-in-law is a mechanic, and he thinks I may have burnt the ground by doing the LED conversion

Check out "Big 3 grounding". Most electrical issues can be attributed to bad or marginal grounds... clean the metal contact areas, use star washers, etc. Replace and/or upgrade ground cables and gauge size. The oem cables can corrode internally and appear fine visually.

Running LEDs should reduce the watts on the system. I would check relays and or fuses. Have u checked for power out of the light switch or power in? Just spit balling but if power is going into the switch but not coming out to the proper wires for dome or park and or lights then other relays or fuses will not power what they controll. But keep us updated please.
