Since new, my SiriusXm reception on my new Denali seems to pause/refresh 2-4 times in the first couple minutes of driving. Clear skies/not under a bridge/tree/etc.

Does everyone else have this issue to some extent? I've thought about having a fresh signal sent by Sirius to the vehicle, but not sure if that will fix anything and always an ordeal getting on the phone with them.

Thanks in advance for any input.

That’s odd. My 21 Tahoe works fine except when a building to the south block the signal.

I have the same thing going on, when first starting out driving the signal will cut in and out for a couple of seconds and then it is good to go,

I don’t have the new Google system…could it be steaming it through the vehicle’s hotspot and not using the satellite service?

I’ve noticed with the apps on the older infotainment system the streaming apps are a little slow at seeing the hotspot and caching content.

I have 2023 Denali. It is not just satellite. Happens to me in CarPlay also. Not every time but pretty often when I first start driving. Have also noticed it on satellite. I had 2023 Suburban rental on vacation and it did the same thing on CarPlay. Never had this happen on my 2021 Tahoe. It only ever does within a couple minutes of starting a drive so am just living with it.

Happens to my '22. 1 or 2 second pause on startup then good to go.
It's on all audio...AM, FM, Sirius, etc.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like a standard quirk of the system I'll have to adjust to.

Our 2014, 17, and 19 machines didn't do this and we listen to SXM 99% of the time on the road. But I do notice when using the app on the phones that it will cut out a couple times on startup and after changing programs.

Same thing happened to my 2016 Yukon Denali. The service department at the dealership replaced the dolphin fin on the roof of the car. No problems since. I was still under warranty at the time so I have no idea about cost to replace the fin.
