Brand new rotors have grooves??

this is what I was talking about, it might need to be reamed, might have to bite the bullet and just exchange it and be done with it.

^^^ This. Clearly the parts are not up to standards. Don't be satisfied with sub-par parts for such a critical function.

Swap the calipers and pull the bleeders out of the replacements at the store (take a few wrenches), and verify that they're in good shape.

Like @Fless said, swap out the caliper and check bleeders. The bleeder seals at the bottom, in the bore of the caliper. That bore has something wrong that would not allow a seal with 2 different bleeders.

I always use my synthetic caliper grease on my bleeder screws.. Seems to help them seal
plus I know they won't seize in place down the road...
Obviously you are dealing with some ****** parts here.. But just a little tip

Just unboxed some raybestos front rotors and one of them has these grooves in them.

I already installed it and now wondering if this is gonna be a problem.

You'll be fine. Those marks don't look deep at all

What a mess. This is a great example that low prices compared with GM OE aren't always lower in the end.

My daughter got a good chastening from me tonight for putting Detroit Axle parts in her shopping cart! She should've known better!

Yes! Eaton is a proven company, making quality parts for our cars. Our lockers and limited slip units were designed by them if I remember right. I serviced many Eaton-Fuller transmissions in my big truck days too, good stuff.
Excellent.

Next question: do you have a formal adoption agreement, or can I wing it?
