I'd like to know if the driver information center is pulling from the PCM? I have a Yukon XL to play with now and wanted to do a gen IV 5.3 swap and use the Holley Terminator X Max harness and PCM along with the 7" digital display. The digital display so far does literally everything the D.I.C. does except for things like the park assist mirror setting. I just wondered if I could retain the D.I.C. and run the new PCM?

No one? Lol. I mainly just want to know if I'll lose my mirror functions or if I could even change the settings.

It's worse than that, you'll lose the instrument cluster unless the Holley can work between generations of trucks.

Try to run Gen III motor, an L33 or L59 instead. The first one was the ultimate Gen III 5.3 engine and is basically a 2007-2009 Gen IV without AFM.

Pretty much this.

L33 are rare.
If you want to lose some weight up front, a Gen3 LM4 or any Gen4 all-aluminum 5.3L might cost less than an L33.
If you're in the mood for a bigger engine, any 6.0L or 6.2L V8 would probably be a better investment than an L33.

Isn't the LM4 for front wheel drive cars? They had a different crankshaft. 6.2 would present same Gen IV headaches but an LQ4 or LQ9 would be sweet!

LM4s are optional 5.3L V8s found in GMT360s - TrailBlazer / Envoy / Rainier / Ascender.
LM4s are also the standard V8 in the SSR.

LH6 replaced LM4 in 2005. Disable v4 mode, delete V4 lifters, should fit nicely - as should the LH8 & LH9.
Although the LH6 / LH8 / LH9 are Gen4, they already lack V4 mode.
I may be wrong, but those 5.3L V8s should not be too difficult to hook up to an 0411pcm.

The LS4 5.3L V8 is GM's exclusively FWD V8 with a 4T65E bellhousing.

I planned on running the digital dash from holley. I'm actually in between this 2wd 04 yukon or converting my 07 avalanche to awd and making it a muscle truck
Go Avalanche man! You can swap in a Denali/Escalade front differential (3.42 gears) and transfer case, tune out the 4x4 codes, beef up the transmission to the 4L65 standard if she has a 5.3 or if she has the L76, build that motor up and leave the 4L70. Fun stuff!
