My 08 Yukon died finally. It had a brand new battery from Greentec Auto. Any suggestions on where I can sell this thing. I have parted the rest out and just have the battery remaining.

I’m in Kentucky. The transmission grenaded. It’s was gonna cost more to repair it than the vehicle was worth.

maybe someone will see this post that came here because their truck is doing the jerking and will see your post.

you can Google around, I've found a few more small sections on boards. one a caddy board and one a electric car board with some questions about these trucks.

shame about the tranny, that's what I tell people I worry about, I think I can fix most stuff but the tranny and I'd like to keep it for a long time. I have seen where they says parts are available and it's not a hard rebuild, the fwd version was said to be very hard. but since it has a hybrid name on it, Lotta shops won't touch them.

shame really. seems to be more reliable than a 4L60 but if you can't fix it when it does break. that's much worse.

many people have gotten 300,000 miles out of the transmission.. as they run much much cooler 150-160F when it's 100f outside i have never seen it go above 165F even hauling-ass uphill .... but i do typically SPEED up on the down hill side and let off the throttle when it reaches the next up hill
my transmission has 110K now it's still STRONG fluid is clean still it has never been serviced besides the replacement Aux pump..( as they normally start getting weak around 100k miles)

internally it's nearly identical to a 4L60E so fixing it should be pretty easy...

also taking into consideration that the transmission is barely rotating at 1,000 rpm at 40mph and 2200rpm at 85mph on flat land ..typical acceleration is 1,000-1300rpm... while a typical 4l60 will be rotating at 3-4,000 rpm for extended periods on long hauls

you can always get a used one from a wreaked one. make sure the AUX pump gets replaced though..and a oil change and new two new filters

most likely you just broke the I/O shaft this has happened to many people and can be replaced many of them were defective or broke from the intense power of the electric motor...

how much did you want for the battery...

I’ll take $2500if you pay shipping. If I pay shipping it will be added to the battery. Depending on where you live we could set up a meet up and save everyone money.
