Hello all I'm new to this forum and find the topics very interesting. I'm looking to buy a 2011 Tahoe SSV here in Ca. I was told by the seller that it's a "Border Patrol" build, so what actually does a Border patrol build mean besides the obvious no front air dam?

Congrats and welcome. I’ll bet many of your questions might be answered in this thread. Bill did a good job of finding all of those things and documenting them.

Just thinking about it being in Cali - curious what the dealer is asking for it. I got my from a small dealer in Phoenix - they have quite a few of them on their lot/website currently. The above read is worth it - I like my SSV (ex-BP also) but understand that it doesnt have all the creature comforts that a civi model would but the cost is the trade off. I have added most things I would feel are must haves in mine except for carpet (this spring). Otherwise, been a good rig thus far.
