I know you already have stuff on order. I figured I would drop a note, for people reading this thread later...

I have really been happy with quality and performance of NAPA Premium ceramic pads. Quiet, no dust, smooth and solid stops.

I am also a big fan of the NAPA Ultra-premium polymer coated rotors. I had them almost 3 years on another vehicle and they looked brand new when I sold it. The coating really held up. I did a cheap set of uncoated on my Z71 Tahoe, because I knew it was short-term. My next set of pads and rotors, I will spring for the coated. With really good rotors, you don't have to keep throwing them out. You can get a bunch of pad replacements in before you even have to think about new rotors again.

I have the OEM ac delco ceramic pads on mine.

Original set was still good at ~115k when I replaced them. I just did it cause they were old.

New set is still just dandy and I'm sitting at almost 170k.

Never had a complaint when towing 7k across the cascades. Or when I was stress testing and pulled a 120-0 panic stop down hill. They stunk, but didn't fade. Takes 5-6 back to back 60-0 stops to get the things to fade. They've never made any squeal either.

They aren't race pads. but for a dd... like... What else would ya be solving for?

p.s. if you're launching your boat, hose down the rear every time you dip it in the water. Make sure you get the back side of the brakes and get some water inside the rear hat where the e-brake lives. Then take the thing on a stop from ~40mph or so to dry it all out. Stops things from rusting, and your e-brake from delaminating

So took off the calipers to replace the pads today.I have been having a brake pad chatter at almost the very end of a hard stop-more recognizable when towing. To my suprise the baer pads that i have on it with maybe 10,000 miles are total garbage with chunks missing out of them.I got the nnbs 08 baer rotos and pads awhile back seemed great untill last 2 weeks when im towing the boat to go fishing, end of the stop brakes chatter. So scuffed up the rotors with 130 grit lubed slides installed the hawk pads burnished the pads and all great again.I did have the stock pads on here when i did the nnbs upgrade i hated them wouldnt stop well enough for me.i also put power stop pads on hated them also.Loved the baer pads but only lasting 10,000 miles with chunks missing no thanks-so we will see how the hawk pads do.About the ebrake i took that off and thru it in the garbage and refuse to put them on.It almost got me stranded far from home towing my boat when the retainer broke and the pads were grinding and clunking around in the rotor hat barely made it home at 5 mph no thanks-to each his own on that.

Any recommendations for low dust front pads?
Whatever was put on last make our '08 look like a german car with excessive dust.

Personally, I’ve been very happy with the carbon / ceramic pads from Powerstop. Very little dust, no squeaking, and great stopping power.
