2022 Tahoe: Rear-end collision now issues with liftgate window. Anyone got a '22 to help me compare?

After being rear-ended, I've had my vehicle in to fixed because a handful of things were done wrong or sloppy. I got it back today and the back liftgate window still isn't right I don't think. The collision center tells me they adjusted it but it still isn't right and it may be worse now than before I took it back to them for the same issue. I have to really forcefully close the window or else it just bounces back open. Also, the window seems loose in that as it's opening, it will bounce a bit at the top and you can hear a slight rattle like it's just not quite put together. Both videos below:

Can someone else with a 2022 Tahoe confirm that this is in fact NOT how your window functions and maybe even post a video so I can have proof that it's not correct?

Did the rear end collision ruin the rear door/hatch ? Or just the bumper ? Looks like the dampers are just really strong and new.

All seems normal. The bounce is caused by the gas struts. Usually a dab of oil on the chrome rod near the seal will smooth it out.

The glass hatch doesn’t close super easy. You need to give it a firm push with the palm of your hand where it latches.

Yeah the liftgate was replaced, but as far as I'm aware, the glass was not. The damage was all lower on the lift gate just above the bumper. I believe they re-used the glass.

Well dang... I sure don't remember the glass being that hard to close when I bought it in April. But I've been wrong before.

I'll try the dab of oil I suppose and see what happens.

Thanks

There is probably adjustment on latch that window closes on.Just have to make sure window seals good so no leaks. Good luck.

Should absolutely have a better close than what you show in the video.Mine is 22 Yukon from same plant and it is effortless to close

Is there any way you could take a video similar to mine and upload to IMGUR to share it with me? At this point, the collision center won't do anything further to "fix" the issue because in their eyes, it's fixed. I'd love to be able to show a video of proper functionality.

I guess I could always go to a different dealer and find the same model, but that's kind of a pain and I hate to take a sales person away from making money just because I'm comparing functionality.

A good salesmans should know that any interaction with a person on their lot could result in a sale or future sale. Just because you're there kicking the tires and comparing functionality doesn't mean that you're wasting their time. They should be super helpful to you and leave an impression on you that while they know you're not buying today - maybe you will in the future. Or maybe you have a friend or family member looking for a car and you say "You know what, I had this super helpful salesman at XYZ dealership that gave me the time of day even though I was just there comparing functionality to my current rig."

I know there's plenty of people in sales that aren't like this, but a good one will take care of any person on their lot for any reason knowing that doing so might result in a future sale.

My 19 has to be slammed pretty firmly too - always makes me nervous to do that to a frameless window. I don't use the tailgate window much at all as a result.
