I purchased a 2017 Chevy Tahoe Premier recently. It only came with one key fob (showing as Driver 1 in DIC). I had to get another key fob added since the 2nd one did not come with the vehicle. After they added the new key fob, it came up as key fob for Driver 3. Is there anyway to get the memory #1 button to connect to this new Driver 3 key fob? I have been trying to get the memory settings to align to the new key fob, but can't figure it out. Unfortunately, I don't have the Driver 2 key fob.

I have looked everywhere on the internet and this forum and have not found anything that can help. I understand it may not happen, but as I understand you can add up to 8 key fobs to the vehicle. I am sure you should be able to program one of them to align to one of the memory buttons

I believe it was discussed here before that the Dealer has to remove key fob 2 from the memory and rename your Fob 3 as Fob 2. Just going by memory so it may not be exactly correct and hopefully, someone else will chime in.

That is exactly how its done,I had to replace one and they tried to go with fob 3 and it was a mess so they reprogramed 1 and 2 and everything was back in sequence .

I could be wrong but I don't think the key fob number makes any difference, use fob#3 turn it to run but not in drive, set ALL your settings just like they are for fob #1 and when finished hold the memory button down until it beeps. done.

See page 39 in the user manual. You can take both remotes out of the vehicle and just keep one with you, perform the "
Programming without Two
Recognized Transmitters (Keyless
Access Vehicles Only)" procedure. The first few steps wipe out any previously paired remotes. Then you start adding the remotes back as remote 1, remote 2, etc.
