I put a deposit down on an in transit ‘23 Yukon XL Duramax with Super Cruise in early December 22. Truck arrived in Flint on December 21st. Last update I received is the truck is still on the train. I find it a little odd it has been sitting on a train car for 2.5 months with no expectation of being delivered. It is to be delivered to a dealership 30 miles outside of Flint. GMC website shows it is still “In Transit”

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the everlasting wait for a new rig. Sucks, huh...

Every story like this makes me happier and happier about my 05 but I know what it is like when you want something now that you are being told you have to wait for. When I was buying new rigs, years ago, I wanted to build what I wanted and then the wait always turned out to be longer than promised. At that point, I bought off a lot, within a 500 mile range.

That's too long, something doesn't seem right. Maybe arrived with some damage or defect that dealership is trying to correct.

My similar transaction was 21 total days from day I located my Duramax Suburban on Chevy.com and sent dealer my deposit.. to the day dealership delivered car to my driveway.

Maybe because it was NOT ordered as a sold order it has low priority? Don't really know but sold orders have the highest priority and even then it takes a long time to arrive. Its only been approx. 2 months. All the logistics is understaffed and all these train derailments and there was one in Michigan last month, have paralyzed the rail system. Maybe there were vehicles in that train??? Or at best it grid locked the system?

I ordered a 2023 Silverado with the new LZ0 in August. The truck was built just before Halloween. It has been sitting in a railyard in Indianapolis pending dispatch since October 31st. I request weekly updates from my dealer, but only receive that the truck is still "pending dispatch". I'm contemplating putting in an order for a 2024 when I am able to just to see which one gets here first
