Looks like every 4th LED is out on my passenger running board. Driver one shown for comparison.

Off to dealer I go.

I've never had great luck with LEDs. Everyone advertises they will last so much longer, but I keep finding that I'm replacing LED bulbs around my house just as often as the cheap incandescent.

Sorry for the off topic reply. Hopefully that is an easy fix. I have the powered running boards as well and this would be really irritating. At least you have the issue while it is still under warranty. My luck it will happen year 4.

It’s clearly some sort of LED driver issue and the boards are clearly wired in foir zones. Kind of like your Christmas lights…it’s intermittent…was working this morning again and then not after work. Showed it to the dealer today, they are going to diagnose it next week

It was explained to me by a lighting engineer recently that the diode itself, which emits the light, is extremely reliable - it's the circuitry behind it that is the achilles heel. There's a whole PCB full circuits and components that once any one of them goes down, so too does the LED. I think the misnomer in reliability of LED is applied to the diode itself and does not take into account everything else that makes it function.

Sorry to hear about your issues, glad you posted so that those of us who have the lighted boards can keep an eye out for this issue. Please update when the dealer gives a diagnosis
