Normally I’m between 20-40 but lately it seems to be dropping? Oil level looks good but it’s reading low lately. At 17 PSI

First of all, the gauge is not an absolute. A mechanical gauge is best to compare with but a PITA to hook up. Try a new sensor to start with for a cheap fix. You are gonna have a screen to deal with as well on this NNBS rig. See a few, not just one, you tube video to see what I mean.

If I did not say it already, welcome to the forum.

Read through the sticky and let us know if you have any further questions. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/thr...ronicles-of-low-oil-pressure-by-07burb.62826/
People were telling me oil pressure sensor. But after reading this I’m not sure now? I’m thinking I should do an oil change just to be safe, a new and good quality filter. I’m not sure if additives would be necessary.

I also don’t have any tune, it’s All stock. I can check the sensor filter as well. But it was running normal this morning despite the weather

So, in my experience here and on my own trucks, the oil pressure sensor is the most likely first cause of low oil pressure indications on these engines with AFM, as the filter screen on the sensor gets clogged and only AFM engines have that screen. The second most common cause seems to be oil filter choice. The third most common cause seems to be the oil pump pickup tube o-ring, and the fourth most common cause is probably a tie between a sticking oil pressure relief valve in the pan, a damaged oil pump (e.g. lifter came apart and spread shrapnel through the pump), or worn cam bearings.

I think you have a solid plan. Start with the simplest first, which is a fresh oil change using a known good filter. I use a Wix 57045. And then go from there.

I have a 2020 yukon slt same issue had 67,000 miles. Engine replaced. Dealer replaced engine 2 days later check engine pops up again same issue. They said it was an issue with the wire harness. "Maybe got pinched ironically" but I was suppose to get a phone call this morning nothing yet. I'm sure they didn't find the issue. I will keep you updated.

Update: still at the dealer they replaced the ECM waiting for them to call me today idk if thays going to happen.

That's an expensive parts cannon they have there. A proper diagnosis using established and well-documented methods would have been way cheaper. Hope they can get you squared away.

Ahh shit here we go again

Start with an oil change and if you are still not satisfied I would escalate it from there.

Based on your pics it's 2007-2014. What is the year ans miles? If you're closer to the earlier years, I agree with @OR VietVet and @Geotrash in what they said. I'd also add if it's older, high miles, or hot climate you might be in the "I need a new oil pump o-ring club."
