Seat Belt Reminder for Rear Seats

I recently placed an order for a '23 Yukon XL Denali with everything in the reserve package except the sun roof. I was reading the owners manual like a nerd and came across this feature listed. I knew that it was included in the escalades, but didn't know that it was a feature that the Yukon's have. Can anyone confirm that this exists and where/how the information will be displayed? Would be helpful info with 5 young children to keep track of.

Anyone know anything about this? Does it show in the DIC? I've never seen it in any photos or youtube videos.

It’s on the DIC. Assuming same for GMC and the other GM models. Mine is turned on, when I shut off motor and open door I get the reminder in my screen behind steering wheel in center of screen and the chime.

I think OP is looking for a display to show the status of each seatbelt. That feature does not exist in either the Chevy or GMC models. Since it's a feature on Escalade and there is so much commonality except for the dash, I'll bet this page was not revised for the non-Escalade owners manual.

The "check back seats" message is on all models and reminds you if one of the rear doors was opened before you started driving. You can turn off that message in the infotainment "Vehicle Settings" menu.

It’s odd they left it in. It’s in my printed manual and the digital manual you can access from the infotainment screen.

This may be odd to hear, but there were only two features the Escalades have that I wanted the Denali is missing. The rear seat belt reminder and the rear seat intercom. Obviously those don’t justify the Cadillac price, but would be handy for all the kiddos in the back.

I noticed that in the manual too...you are not a nerd for reading it...it answers many questions people post to the forum about

I can confirm the feature is NOT on the Denali...its an error in the manual.

With a 5th kid on the way, not offering these features on the Suburban is a sad gouge in the eye.

The rear seat intercom and a rear seat camera are available on the highest trim of the Honda Odyssey, which is still cheaper than the lowest LS trim Suburban.

When my kids were younger, we had an Odyssey and a Suburban. Actually put 250k miles between the two odyssey’s we had. They were a really nice family ride. But, yes…I’ve been a suburban guy forever…opted for “Professional Grade” this go around…the rear seat intercom would have been a fantastic add…but as for the rest; I’m glad I picked the GMC.
