So I recently replaced the rear liftgate lock actuator....

and now, while it locks and unlocks properly again... the lights wont turn off & "liftgate open" warning is on.

I do not see a switch for it, I dont see any for the other doors either. Im assuming some genius decided to change the switches... probably the same ******** who took away the external key/release for the liftgate.

looking on Rockauto I dont even see such a part listed... any thoughts

There's a test for it in this thread; see if it's any help.

Also inspect for broken wires at the wiring harness at the top of the liftgate opening. Pull out the wiring bundle boot and check those wires.

The switches are part of the lock actuators, they can’t be replaced separately afaik. Possible that actuator you installed has a faulty switch in it or there’s something wrong with the wiring harness. Did the lights turn off with the old actuator?

aftermarket crap... all I could find
sometimes the aftermarket ones do not have every piece, like Dorman so sometimes you have to move the part over to the replacement from the original.
I know dorman makes latches like this, so it might be worth the time to compare both and see if this is the case if you didn't already toss the original one out.
