Can’t get my left turn signal to turn off or my emergency flashers to engage. I tried changing the flasher relay but no luck. Could it be the turn switch itself or something else?

Probably the Combination switch. Many of us have changed at least one! Try changing the tilt on the wheel to see if wires broken instead.

Seems like the multifunction is likely the cause from how many videos there are of people having to change it. I’ll see if I can find anything wrong with wiring first!

Multifunction switch controls so many functions, I'm thinking that is your culprit. I had an issue that I would hear the ticking constantly without the turn signal selected. It would stop ticking when I pressed the brake, and then start again when I let off. Lol. Here is my original post. Good luck.

I am changing my multifunction switch tomorrow. My problem is the windshield washer won't spray (tested the motor and is working), and also if I turn my wipers on for a misty or light spray from the road, the wipers take like 5 minutes to go off and even then they sometimes stop in the middle of the windshield. And the cruise control is spotty. The switch does so many functions I am surprised it doesn't have some type of failure more often.

Just a heads up, those wiper issues are often resulting from cracked solder joints on the wiper motor board. You can usually reheat the solder or add a touch more, so it might be worth a quick check. There are probably YouTube repair videos that will show the common failure points.

Edit: video for future reference

Thanks. I am not able to physically do the work myself anymore so I have to pay someone. But if there is an issue after the switch change I will look into it.

I can attest to this fix as well. Done it once and it was a successful, permanent repair on (1) of the (4) rigs of this generation I've owned.

***Fun fact*** I worked for GM building these wiper motors for nearly (5) years back in the mid to late 90's in Rochester, NY. One of the strangest feelings is when I am working on a wiper issue on one of my trucks and then coming to the realization that there was a fairly good chance I helped build that wiper motor when it was on the assembly line. There's a silver sticker on the casing that gives the build date which makes it fairly simple to figure out. I can only imagine what folks who work in the car assembly plants must feel when they see/work on a vehicle they may have contributed to assembling originally.

Multifunction Switch Ebay

Found these on eBay for $40 vs $100 from big box auto parts places. Any reason to be concerned using one of these? From what I can tell the pins line up exactly and the part looks the exact same. I would definitely plug it up first and give it a test run before assembling everything
