105,000 miles. I can feel the bang and hear the bang from a stop light. Is it the dreaded drivers side motor mount ?

I added all the info, thx
Awesome - thanks. The diff mounts Don mentioned usually fail long after the motor mounts do because they're not liquid-filled balloons like the motor mounts. And, you likely wouldn't feel the diff mounts going bad unless you were in 4WD, which is hwy I asked about the model. Denali and Esky AWD drivers usually notice the diff mounts going bad.

There are a couple of clues you can use to fully diagnose the motor mounts: 1/ Look for any evidence of fluid leakage around the mounts. The fluid is corrosive so it may be accompanied by oxidation there. 2/ God to a parking lot away from other objects with a friend and pop the hood or look between the dash and hood with the hood open. Put your foot firmly on the brake, put it in gear and stab the throttle quickly while holding the brake. If you have a bad motor mount, it will look like the engine wants to twist out of there. It's very pronounced.

I couldn't find a local shop that wanted to do the dreaded drivers side motor mount.. So I gave the dealer a few pennies, and they did it. He said 3 hours, but I'm sure an experienced guy can do it in 2 hours.

At least you are getting it fixed !!! The OEM mounts are nice and quiet and soft.. they just
don't last very long.
I did the Hummer motor mounts on mine. My mounts were still fine, but I didn't want to
screw with it again.
I also did my headers and my supercharger at the same time(supercharger gone now)
I DO feel a bit more vibration but that could be from the headers too
Assume you are spending about $450 for labor for 1 mount ::: ???? 3 hrs labor ???
Or is that just how long they needed it for ?

You'll probably pay the flat rate no matter how long (or short) the time takes. Not a lot of shops bill otherwise.
