Looking for some recommendations for headlights for my '03 Tahoe. Currently have the original GM housings which are oxidized beyond repair and letting in moisture. I'd like to see what some of y'all are running. My number one priority is proper beamforming, in other words, something that will cast the light uniformly across the road. Also, being able to install LEDs without modifying the housing would be ideal. I had to trim a good chunk out of the OE housings to fit my current LEDs. I look forward to seeing what all's out there. TIA!

I installed TYC from RockAuto. They are exact match to OE.

Light pattern is same as factory. Build quality looked and felt the same as OE also.

I like them and the prices was reasonable.

However, I found it was easier to install a new radio than it was trying to get Sealight LED bulbs installed in them. Rather than break the new housings I got, I decided to just send back the LEDs for now and installed my halogens.
That was a bummer, but I did not have the patience on that winter day to even attempt customizations to the new TYC housings.
Might make another try in warmer weather.

Since the TYC I got is identical to the Oe, install of LED would require the same mods you made to your old originals. Upside to that, is you already learned what to do or not do to make that happen.

There are a couple other aftermarket brands that members really like. They tend to be a bit pricier and I don't have a good sense on whether folks were able to install LED without modifications (or how extensive, if mods were needed).

I ended up buying a set of Spyder housings from a guy in a Facebook Tahoe group. They look killer without straying too far from the original look. Just brings it into the modern era IMO. He said he was happy with the light they put out and sent me a few pics of nighttime driving. I'll update once I get them installed. (pic is of seller's truck, not mine)

Spyder was one of the ones people on the forum have used and liked very much.
I needed replacements to pass RMV inspections and budget was tight having to get parking brake cables and rear brake rotors replaced too. So, the TYC were an affordable option for me at the time.

Those Spyders do look FANTASTIC! Nice socre!

Update: turns out I won't be receiving the headlights. The guy took my money, tried to pretend he didn't receive the payment. Then when I called him out on his BS he blocked me. Some people really suck...

How did you pay? Venmo, PayPal, other electronic payment app?
Maybe you can you get your money back through payment resolution center for non-receipt of goods paid for through the payment service.

For me, I'll do PayPal for Ebay transactions or other online merchant stores. Cash in person for any Craigslist transactions I have done. I am not sure I would feel good about ending Venmo or CashApp payments to an individual I never dealt with before... So far, no issues going that route.

People like your guy make it really hard to trust anyone now days!

Sorry you are out the funds! I know I would not be able to afford having someone swipe money from me. Things for me have already gone from tight to strapped in the last few months. So, I can well imagine being in your spot with this deal going south!
