If you replace the radiator, be sure to replace ALL cooling hoses, as well. They do deteriorate over time, and I can tell you form personal experience that if one of those hoses grenades, you'll lose 90% of your coolant within 60 seconds.
I am with you Joe, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.....If experience has taught us anything, be proactive and not half-ass repairs!

That is a serious "REDNECK" repair. I wish I could say I haven't seen people do some crazy stuff....Gotta pray that is an old school Craftsman, Snap-On, or Matco wrench...Lord help us if that is a Wally World Chinese POS tool.
Judging by the mud, my guess is that was a trail repair to get him home after he broke a tie rod end in the woods. If so, then it makes sense.

heater hose w/metal y fitting, Dorman# 626-553 or NAPA# 827-5730-1
@Doubeleive, @Joseph Garcia I've got a 2014 and it keeps saying most of the parts linked to won't fit (Amazon). It says this heater hose fits, but it's got the plastic y fitting.

Will the one with the metal y fitting work, but Amazon doesn't recognize it? It looks to me like the shorter hose has the wrong bends in it and I'd need to find the right one to get that metal y fitting in the apparatus. Thanks for help

Still have to check and see which exact radiator I have. I suppose it's the one linked earlier to Summit, but it may not be, so have to make sure. If so it's this one:

Ok, here’s what I’ve got going into the radiator. On the passenger side 5 lines or hoses. On the drivers side 1 hose. Is the Summit radiator linked to in the previous post the one I need?

It looks like you DON"T have the engine oil cooler option.. That would be on drivers side -LEFT
So you can buy either radiator... IF you don't have the oil cooler option, you just don't use
the ports - they won't leak or anything..
AND on some parts lookups the 2014 can be hit or miss due to the fact that
some of the "non" actual car places don't know it's a carry over year for the SUV's.
So a lot of times on my 2014 I double check the part #'s against a 2013 model of
the same options

Thanks. Yeah, I noticed watching videos of removing and installing a new radiator that the 2014 Yukon was just like the 2013. This has had me confused a number of times I was working on this rig. I cross checked the parts with Dorman and it looks like while Amazon doesn't recognize them as a proper fit, Dorman does, so I ordered them all as well as the radiator w/o oil cooler from Summit and all should be here in a few days so I can get this knocked out. Looking forward to saving some coolant, having heat, and a proper engine temp. Thank you for all your help.

I will chime back in if I have trouble on install.
