@07yukon19 To eliminate the VLOM being the culprit you could try installing a nonAFM VLOM and see what happens. I wonder if there is a wiring issue in the harness sending signal to the VLOM causing it to kill #6

Alright did compression 165, getting fuel, spark replace the volm again and still getting the same results check the connector doesn’t look burnt I’m kinda at a lost
Ugh...SO frustrating. The only other thing I can think of is the lifters themselves being bad or installed incorrectly somehow. It would be difficult but not impossible to install the AFM lifters in the trays oriented 180º out. But you would likely have noticed if that were the case because they would have been very hard to insert into the trays. They're keyed on one side.

Pretty sure the Dorman would have a lifetime guarantee. If you get to that point return it to the retailer and request a refund; use OE if possible.

I figured if the lifter was bad I would hear a tick or knocking, sounds great minus the misfire if you rev it up to around 2000 it does miss as bad.
A guy told me to buy 4.8 valley cover and turn the dod off would I have to change anything else to turn the dod off or if I would have to tune it

You would need to have it tuned out.

Did you try the Italian tuneup approach that @89Suburban suggested?

@07yukon19 You can install the 4.8 valley cover and hang the AFM VLOM on the side keeping it plugged in and that will let the motor run like normal until you get the AFM tuned out permanently.
