Intake Manifold Gasket - What Else?

Well, I finally got the dreaded P0300 now that the weather's gotten cold. It's been below freezing the past few days, and when starting cold, it runs rough and the MIL flashes until it gets warm. Looks like it's time for an intake manifold gasket.

I've read that when doing this job, the knock sensors/harness should be replaced as well. Is there anything else I should do while I'm in there? Also any tips would be greatly appreciated. Any special tools required? I'm sure this has already been very well covered on this forum before, so if anyone knows of a good thread, feel free to drop a link. Thanks!

Truck is an 03 Tahoe with the FlexFuel 5.3 btw

This talks specifically about the valley pan gasket but it's the same area...

The job is pretty straight forward. I think the only tool that is somewhat special is the fuel line release for the internal coupler. Other than that, just basic metric tools, some pliers, and a couple wrenches should get er done.

Truck is an 03 Tahoe with the FlexFuel 5.3 btw
oil pressure sensor, with the intake off it is much easier to do you might still need the special socket to get it out though. not 100% sure
apparently a lot of people have a hard doing it I just bought the socket and had it out and new one back in nothing flat maybe 3 minutes?

I would highly recommend getting the the fel-pro metalized gasket set, can't go wrong with them perfect fit and function.
