After a long journey, she finally arrived.

Ordered July 1st, built October 17th. Delivered November 9th.

It has only been a few days, but this has totally exceeded my expectations. I have been driving Suburbans/Yukon XL's since mid 90's and this is certainly a step up.

I will give a more detailed review after a few weeks and road/toad trips. Start a four hour trip today.

First Impressions.
Incredibly smooth
Comfortable seats
Very clear 360 cameras, especially at night
Paint/Average GM. Not perfect
Very quiet

Initial quirks-
Sun visor can not be opened with left hand. Can't get fingers in recessed area. Silly and I will get use to it.
I keep grabbing for the column shifter. This is going to take a while to get used to this.

Seven average adults went to dinner Friday, 20 minute drive each way. Tight in the back, but all in one vehicle and generally comfortable. Back row said much smoother than the previous Yukon XL (Solid Axle) and the heat was nice in the back.

Until later....

Congrats! I like the lights at night too, can't quite figure out all the events that turn them or or keep them on though.
Stopped into the dealer to pick up the GMC LED Puddle lamps that were on constraint before, should have them installed later this month. I'll post pictures once it's done.

Congrats, I received my Ultimate a couple of weeks ago and it's awesome. Still trying to get things setup and figure some things out. I agree still not used to shifting this thing in and out of gear, still reaching for the column shift, :p. Tried the Supercruise for the first time today for a short drive and it is fantastic, it will be perfect for long road trips.

You will get used to the shifter...but it takes a while.
I put mine in reverse instead of Drive once, and vice versa...I think it is because both use the same pull motion...once almost hit a parked car behind me, once almost hit the front wall of the garage.
That all subsided about 3 weeks into ownership...

I like the pushbutton implemenation on my wife's CRV Hybrid better.
Switches are positioned so that you literally pull a switch backward for reverse and press a button for drive...less chance for whiffing on that.
Honestly, would have prefered a column shifter in the Yukon.
I know the trucks are getting the console shifter, but I would hate to give up space in the console for the lever...

The best thing I like about the looks is that front end with that black grille and the vader chrome, looks just mean, and at night with the LED headlights and the fog lights on it's awesome looking,

That got the illuminated GMC emblem? if not, I’d suggest it, it definitely adds to the “boss” factor.
