I don't know about that. The digital guage cluster plus availability of adaptive on lower trims makes it worth it to get a 2022 or newer. Plus less lifters grenading engines and duramax not having the long start issue on later years.

Cars get improved as they go into their product cycle. RSE is fine with a mirror stick or similar.
Vehicles also go through cost savings initiatives every model year. When a new model is designed, management has cost targets for the project. Eventually timing of getting it released for production takes precedence over optimized designs. Each year engineers are tasked with finding cost savings initiatives to implement for the next model year.

For example I've noticed on all the '23s the button to turn on/off the power outlets throughout the vehicle is gone from the switch pack on the dash, to the left of the steering wheel. You can argue that button was unnecessary and some people didn't even know it was there - but I guarantee an engineer said "Hey, do you think customers actually use that button?" Upper management said "I think you're right - nobody bothers to ever touch that button - let's remove it from the '23s when they change over." This is one change that's visible - I'm sure there's others across the whole vehicle - some might not matter - others end up causing quality issues later on.

Yes. We call them improvements. All vehicles get better in their product cycles. Sometimes they are made simpler because it's better and more efficient. No one wants a 1st year anything regardless of brand because of the teething issues. The last model year of a specific line before a redesign is always considered the best because all issues are ironed out at that point.

2021 Suburban LS came with the 10.2" infotainment system. 2022/23 Suburban LS comes with the 8" infotainment system from the Fleet model. Is that an improvement? Sure - issues get ironed out, I'm not disagreeing with that - but there will always be small changes each year to bring the cost down.

ACC was not available on standard Denalis until Oct 3 or later builds. It cannot be retrofitted unfortunately.
I took delivery of my 2022 in February of this year and it has ACC.

Edit: Sorry, I see you said Standard Denali's. Carry on lol.

You gained some standard safety tech . the screen size is the only downgrade but most option that out anyways. Regardless they get improved.

I am not sure if any of GM's people see these threads...for a vehicle as expensive as Yukon Denali, ACC should be standard...I don't understand why GM does that or at least let the customers know, once the micro chips become available, then the owners of these Yukon Denali's can go and get them installed. My understanding is when adding g the ACC, as long as your Denali has all the other requirements, sensors, cameras, gap adjustment etc...them it's a matter of some serious programming of the computer brain, which is located inside behind the steering wheel area. People spending $80 plus thousand, should have ACC standard period.

Yeah i agree but many who consider gm full size suvs are tech averse for some reason....
