The single seat in my 60/40 rear bench just started “popping” in the backrest when sitting on it. I can replicate it with my hand too by pushing on the backrest. It pops in and the pops back out when you let go- like a Snapple cap does.

Anyone else have this issue? I haven’t taken it to the dealership yet and will wait until next oil change next month. Still in warranty but thought I would check if anyone else had this issue.

The back seat of my 02 denali does that too. Scares the crumbs out f my paasengers when it pops back like one or two notches. I have yet to fuigure out how to fix it, so I'm curious what others say about this.

Did you ever talk with the dealer? I have exactly the same issue on my 2016 Tahoe. Every time someone sits in the seat it makes a popping noise up in the upper back rest area when you start and stop. i like the Snapple cap reference. Exactly what it’s like.

Hi, I have the same issue on my 2019 Chevy Suburban. Unfortunately I notice it when the warranty expired and there was nothing I could do. The dealer will charge me a fortune if I bring it to them, besides no one is interested in putting a hand to fix it. I been buying Suburbans for the last decade (2010, 2015, 2019), and this will be the last one; it’s not worth the aggravation dealing with the garbage they’re making.

Have you considered breaking down the backrest and seeing what's popping inside?

Juan19, you are making a decision to never own another one because of a popping noise from the seat, maybe do a Google search and see if there is a simple fix, you could also consider a warranty that would take care of any issues that may pop up, especially with all the electronics on these newer vehicles.
