What was the issue and what is GM doing to correct the issue?

the entire frame was damaged beyond $15000 in damages. There’s damage to other components even aside from just the frame such as sway bars and brackets.

As for what is being done, GM Canada has not even made enough effort. I told them I refuse to make anymore payments on the exposure vehicle too. They were not agreeing to that and now said we will only pardon 2 months no payments and then you have to till the new unit comes. They have also said that my new one will have super cruise when technically my first one was suppose to have it. I learned that I don’t want super cruise and rather would have advanced cruise control. I believe everyone operating a motor vehicle should be in full care and control of the vehicle so I don’t care for super cruise now that I know what it does.

They haven’t really offered me anything other than I demanded another Yukon Denali Ultimate package. I do have full intention of speaking with General Motors for This damage could have been found during a PDI by the dealership and GM Canada. They refuse to provide me with there copy of PDI when they received the truck as well.

Did it get dropped in transit or something? That sounds like a pretty significant event for a new vehicle.
They must have between Texas and to the Canadian dealership. It’s exceeding $15,000 in damages. Just absolutely frustrated cause I’ve waited a year for this. Then I’ve been having to pay for a dealer exposure vehicle when it’s not even my fault that this damage happened. It’s really bad the amount of under carriage damage under that Yukon. The dealership was going to just do a patch job but this entire matter has now gone from GM Canada to GM America in Detroit too. It’s so frustrating!!

I can't understand what the big Hoo Ha is over SuperCruise.... I'd never use it and certainly would never pay extra for it. Does every one drive 400 miles a day on I95?
Unless I can read the paper or work on my computer while driving and arrive safely... UH.. I'd rather be in control of my own vehicle.

Do the vehicles with super cruise also have an adaptive cruise option? Meaning can the driver turn off SC and just use adaptive?

How did you end up noticing the damage ? What exactly is wrong ? Scrapes ? Or items bent? With that much damage it must ride like crap unless it's just cosmetic. I also don't see how all that could be damaged from transport since the trucks are not low.

Super cruise is a must for many people if you ever have had good driver assistance. Im coming from toyota and their adaptive with lane trace assist makes driving on the interstate so much more enjoyable over long distance and congestion. You are still 'driving' just takes the fatigue out of it. I hope the lane keep and adaptive on my incoming yukon slt is as good. If I could option super cruise on the slt I would have. Almost considered a tahoe because of super cruise but don't like the look.

I'd eat a sandwich for sure :) If you have any length of interstate driving that turns into stop and go crap around rush hour, the driver assistance features are amazing. My RX just has adaptive with stop and go, and that makes a world of difference.

You are in for a big disappointment. LKA on these vehicles is a joke. You'll see. Turned it off the 2nd week I owned it. I am a big fan of adaptive cruise control and use it on long trips regularly. I don't see how it takes "The fatigue out of it" you are either paying attn or you're not. I've driven mine 950 miles in a day and the only thing I'm wore out on is sitting in that seat that long....
If I'm in congestion with people darting in and out, the last thing I'm gonna trust is something else driving for me. Can you blame SC if you have an accident? Will GM pay your hospital bill? I can't wait till a lawyer gets ahold of one of these cases... "But I wasn't driving?"

Yeah i get that some people don't like 'technology' same thing happened with fuel injection same thing happening with Evs. They are driver aides. Same as ABS same as seat belts. It's supposed to help and prevent. But nothing is 100% even humans. Automatic breaking can help. Do you rely on it? No. Same with adaptive cruise...i don't need to keep mashing the brake speeding back up if the car does it. Do I hover over the pedal when things get crowded ? Of course. It reduces fatigue all the same. You are still driving the car either way. It would be like complaining about power steering cuz it makes it easier.

Like i said they are aides. Super cruise would be a welcome aide. There is no 100% self driving implemented by any manufacture yet. But we are baby stepping that way.

These systems when utilised correctly have been shown to reduce accidents and save lives. Planes have been flying by themselves for years now.

To each their own. If you don't like it. Turn it off. No big deal. Hope you enjoy the truck.
