ok - Was a little confused as I thought they were sending it with a basic tune, but now I get how it works. I was able to pull the transmission and engine tune off and sent that to them. Not sure their turnaround time, but eager to try and fire this thing up.
Gotcha. Unfortunately, it can be as much as 2 weeks but they will prioritize you if they know you’re down and waiting on a startup tune.

It took about a week to get the initial tune back. Added them and was able to start it up. No engine lights and oil pressure came right up. Had to run to the parts store to get a plastic "t" for the heater coolant line (if that is what you call it) as the internal o-ring was bad. While there, the guy on the phone was talking to someone with a collapsed lifter. Now I can say been there done that. I will need to get my readings to get a final tune, but so far so good. I'll post a video of it running when I can figure that out. Thanks to all on here who have posted the info that I needed to do this and answered questions. Much appreciated.

Curious how this turned out for the op. I'm getting ready to do the exact same thing, and there's also sent the smaller camshaft.... which I returned and purchased the l9h factory stock camshaft. I've already deleted the AFM DOD with a Diablo tuner, am I correct in assuming the l9h camshaft is so close the computer won't know the difference? I'm also debating on the tensioner that the l94 has versus the LS2 dampener. Seems to be pros and cons either way with all kinds of opinions. Considering this is my wife's grocery getter and she never revs it up, I'm leaning towards the factory L94 tensioner. Unless of course I get in there and find it in pieces. Coming up on 160,000 miles and have not lost a lifter yet, so this is preventative. It just got accelerated due to either a rear main or rear cover oil drip. I will also be retaining VVT, plugging the oil relief in the pan and changing to a Melling 10296 pump with the + 10 psi spring installed. Upgrading to rocker Trends but otherwise completely stock.
