2009 Yukon hybrid 6.0 ls.

Anyone have info on how to get this stuff out of my way?

Want to remove head and replace lifters. Had collapsed lifter on 7... got head off and all lifters out. Now ... should/how can I do complete job.

Take pity, new to board and slow at working... but have found many helpful people here.

Thanks,

Bill

I felt the same way haha. I've had the intake off and that was super easy but that looked bad till I found the youtube video. basically looks like you pull the hybrid disconnect, wait 5 mins, pull the 12v cables. do some tests for voltage at the wires. up bolt the 6 wires and it lifts right out. probably more scary then difficult

I haven't had it completely out like the video, but mostly out. The inverter/distribution box is a stack of boxes. Make sure you disable high voltage at the battery by pulling the high voltage disconnect at the battery, orange plug. Then follow the high voltage disable procedure to check no high voltage (in case there is another failure). If this isn't right, you risk killing yourself, no kidding. After that Start by pulling the inverter cover and then on the top right open the distribution box. From there you disconnect the 3 phases of both motor 1 and 2 and the air conditioner high voltage output. Then you can start taking the stack apart and remove the input cables etc. After all the cables/covers are removed I'm guessing you just keep going to pull the last box out he shows in the video. Keep in mind that almost every connection in there has a sensor that feeds the computer and if you don't get things put back together correctly it will not even try to start.
