2013 Escalade ESV doesn't have K5L HD Cooling, do I need to search for the 700W fan motors...?

I just looked at both cooling fan motors with a mirror and flashlight.
I was unable to see any kind of part number on the motors. The motors are set in the fan shroud, which covers the motors.

apparently some have a visible part number between the edge of the inner fan blade and motor, otherwise you have to pull the shroud out, take the clip off the front end of the blade assembly and then the 3 bolts on the back. even then the part number may be hard to find depending on the age of the motors and any surface rust. No sense in doing all that unless you have the new motors in hand already.

That was my thinking. All works well now, no reason to take it apart. IF I ever have the shroud out, I will pull the motors and look for part numbers.
I did notice above in swathdiver’s post, he stated that all Escalades came with 700W motors.
Based upon that and what I saw on the ACDelco parts website, I believe my Escalade has the 700W cooling fan motors.
Regardless, it all works well and doesn’t overheat.

I think you're good to go, ACDelco's website shows all of the Eskys getting the 700 watt motors and you have the second design with rimless 5-bladed fans.

I've also read somewhere about the entire fan shroud assembly having a number stamped into it in the driver's upper corner and that there were different numbers for ones with the 700w or K5L fans.

if it has K5L it will be in the rpo list inside the glove box on the sticker
you can also call any gm parts department with the last 8 of your vin and confirm the fan motor part number and decipher it that way.

Right, but AFAIK, the Eskys don't have the K5L package, per se, but apparently they do have the 700W motors, which makes me wonder if the Denalis do too.

We've seen guys on here with Denalis that have 500 watt fan motors.
I'm using a 2012 Denali VIN on GMPartsGiant and they show both. I thought Wes' Denali had 500 watt motors before he changed them out? @Doubeleive
