I'm trading in my 2021 Tahoe Premier for a comparable 2023 model. One difference is that there is no trailering package included with the 2023. It's really not a deal breaker for me as I don't tow that much, but I do haul my pontoon around.

Will I even miss not having the package? Is there still a trailering app in the infotainment systen (where I can do trailer light tests) included as standard? Or will that functionality be gone?

Thanks for your thoughts and opinions!

I just picked up a 2022 yukon xl denali with no max tow package. The screen does come with the trailer button to do light tests. And you can also change it to tow/haul mode.

If you don't get the max tow package you will be missing enhanced cooling radiator, the extra tow rating and the in vehicle apps (trailer tire pressure monitors, ability to add camera etc)

Exactly what I was looking to know. All I ever really did with the trailer stuff was do the light check, LOL. So I should be good. Thanks!

My ‘22 Burb LT with Standard tow package does have the trailer light check and tow/haul mode, as mentioned.

From looking at the window sticker, I have no trailering package at all. Just the “trailering equipment” that’s listed as standard equipment; I think that’s just the hitch and the wiring itself.

Is it coded at "Z82-Trailering Special Equipment" that's what mine has which is not the max tow

Not sure of the RPO code - all I have is the window sticker
I'm not 100% sure but almost positive if it comes with trailer equipment like you mentioned that would include, hitch, 7way connection, 4 way connection, tow/haul mode, wiring pigtale behind dash for after market brake controller, and the trailer button on screen for the light test.

I just asked the dealer to pull a build sheet (says "Vehicle Locator") on the top. No mention of any sort of trailering equipment at all. The only thing I can find is the line item on the window sticker that says "Trailering Equipment" under the Performance and Mechanical section. I'm figuring you are right.

EDIT - it would help if I had looked closer, LOL - it was the last item on the sheet: "Z82-Trailering Package". So I've got what you have. I should be all set then - thanks!
