First let me say they work as designed on both my 2010 Sub & 2009 Tahoe ... but the design sucks.

The location of the 7-pin mount prevents the use of hitch-pin-based anti-rattle locking pins:

Has anyone removed (& relocated) their OEM 7-pin mount?
Has anyone replaced their OEM hitch and installed the 7-pin mount somewhere else?

I use Reese Tactical locks, put in a certain way makes it a pain to release, have to raise the 7-pin door to get clearance, a 3 handed job! Never heard mine rattle.

I needed one in the bed of the truck for my 5th wheel. I bought a harness from etrailer.com, it connected to the 7 pin at the hitch, I removed the 7 pin OEM from the mount, plugged in the new harness, and put the 7 pin in the bed of the truck. I took the OEM plug, plugged it back into the new harness by the hitch, and zip tied it up underneath just in case I needed one near the hitch. https://www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit...ilverado/2008/C56000.html?VehicleID=200838698

Been there, done that. I even had to cut one off to get it out, as there was not enough clearance to get the key in.

This Master lock works great, without having to mess around with or relocate anything.

Thanks all, and not terrible suggestions for the terrible design. Unfortunately I’m looking specifically for anti-rattle pins for a swing arm mount that I want to be actually lockable, but removable. The design of the swing arm mounts (both swing arm bike mounts and the swing arm hitch adapters) puts rotational strain on the hitch I want to minimize.
