A big ol hail storm came through my town recently. I now have a $8,800 check to fix the truck. I work on the car biz so I have resources to fix it for far less. This means extra money for fun! The hood was quoted for replacement, so I figure it's time to take advantage of the opportunity to get a custom hood. Thinking of subtle cowl or a single vent. This though, is where it gets hard to decide for me. I'd be very interested to see any custom hood you folks have put on your trucks to help me decide what looks best.

i havent seen any for the k2xx platform...
i have contacted a number of places about options. only 1 said they were thinking about it & they decided against it.

sad the aftermarket never really tried anything

ive been thinking about buying a diff gen. hood & grafting it into mine... given the high quality GM paint currently on the hood LOL

I am shocked how few options there are out there. It's not like this gen hasn't been out for awhile. I was hoping for a subtle cowl or a single conservative vent, but there just isn't really any options. Bummin me out!

I don’t think the ownership demographic is conducive for aftermarket parts.

I’ve been stunned by the lack of posts to the “What Did You Do With…” thread.

But still! It's a Tahoe! Those trucks have always been good in the aftermarket. Maybe the times are a changin....

Please let us know if you found anything. I would love to add louvers to my Yukon to reduce engine compartment heat.
I added louvers on thecopcar for the same reason. You can follow starting here.
