Picked up our new 2022 Yukon last week. It leaked oil from the start. Here is a pic of my garage floor after 3 nights. They are putting a new oil cooler in it this week. Anyone else have this issue? Not pleased about the only new vehicle I’ve ever purchased having an issue of this magnitude from the factory. Also peeved the undercarriage and my garage are covered in oil. Other than that, we love it! I’m trying my best to withhold judgement until I see how they respond. As of now it’s been in the shop twice as long as in our possession and it’s not even titled yet.97C22CE2-F30A-4C00-A65C-575E117E608C.jpeg

Hard to believe this wasn't caught in PDI. Give them a minute to fix it, and move on. The good of this vehicle far outweighs a few days out of service. I assume they gave you a loaner?

Thank you for the optimism. They did put us in a full-size SUV rental. The dealer has been okay so far. As a side note, it’s at a local dealer, which is different from where we purchased it.

I'd say any dealer these days is aware of the difficulty in finding and buying these vehicles, probably glad to have the service work. Sounds like they are treating you right at any rate. Looks like a first class machine there too!

Remember the old trope: "Don't sweat the small stuff." So far there doesn't seem to be any consistent issues with the 3.0. Just an occasional random small thing like this. After a year, I'm liking mine more all the time and I expect you will too. Well, except for that whole price of diesel fuel thing and that's a different problem.

I do not know how much oil, I didn’t check it. No warning went off. It had 4 miles when we picked it up and 225 when I took it to the dealer. Only indication was the garage floor.

I'd say that's not very much oil on the floor, maybe 2 or 3 ounces. There's probably more left out there on the road and on the undercarriage.

These are facts right here. You can say what you want, but the lack of threads, issues and actual acute 3.0 problems speak volumes about the 3.0 in general. Even with higher fuel prices, it is still by far the engine of choice for dependability in this large land yacht.
