Ordered a Yukon Denali 3/30/22. After checking updates etc, I learned that my order has been accepted but doesn't have a production date. Since it is almost July, I'm wondering if my order will be reverted to a 2023 or will I get a 22 late in the year. I also have the Diesel and max tow package and feel that's probably what the hold up is. Wondering if I would have better luck just ordering a Sierra 2500 with the regular Duramax. Getting frustrated now.

They were making 2021s into the first quarter of 2022…I’d lean towards it staying a 2022, just not anytime soon

As an opinion only, I'd say the lion's share of the 3.0 Dmaxes get diverted to Silverado's and Sierra's and therefore easier to find both in incoming dealer stock and to order....

I ordered my Denali a few months before yours and am in the same place, GM accepted mine back in January, and it just sits at 2000 with no progress. We ordered a Lexus LX600 this past Saturday. Since we ordered the Yukon Denali we have had 1 vehicle stolen at the airport, and another was totaled out when it was parked and hit by a drunk driver. We refuse to pay over what a new one would be for a used one, so whichever one gets here first will be in the driveway, we really can't afford to be down 2 cars, we are sharing 1 vehicle now and it's a pain. Sad part is, I have received 2 emails from Lexus ordering system, the first telling me I placed an order with all the details and pricing, a second one today with a tenative delivery date to the dealer in August. I can't even squeeze a tenative build date with GM, and I have to hunt down the status. GM really needs to step up and improve the ordering experience.

That’s not accurate. Ours was built in October 2021 and it was a 2022.

If your order was at status code 2000 or higher prior to ~10 days ago then it will be a 2022. If it’s still at status code 1100, then it got converted to a 2023 order like 10 days ago. Dealer should know by now.

There were 2021s still hitting the lots into March...large local GMC dealer had over half their inventory of Yukons as 2021s in Feb/Mar....maybe they were all 6-8 month delays

quick forum search showed this one showing up at the dealer at the end of the year

agree that it doesn't make sense but not a lot else does right now...

Do you really think you can compare Lexus to GM? They are in 2 separate Arena's....

My driveway has always had GM vehicles in it, until now. Lexus doesn't have the room the Yukon Denali has, nor does it have some of the features, and you have to buy a higher end model to get close to what is in the Denali, but sitting and waiting for months on end with zero communications from GM, and a dealer that tells you the same thing every few weeks, it gets old. I try to be understanding of supply shortages, but the reality is, GM isn't delivering like the other manufacturers are. We need a vehicle, or at least an ETA so we can make a decision, do we wait until approx whatever date GM gives, or just sit in the dark and hope someone turns on the light eventually? I find it hard to believe most other manufacturers will give you an estimated build and delivery date, and GM can only say, your order has been accepted, the status is 2000, we no idea when it might be built, if it might be built, what year it will be delivered, or if we can actually build what you ordered. Very short sighted, and as a life long GM customer, I am now looking elsewhere, which should be concerning to any company.
