I guess I was a little too impatient to wait for mine when I placed my order back in February, because a month later, I ended up buying my AT4 out of state... Plus my wife was tired of driving me to work for over a year, so I couldn't wait. Even after a month, my status only showed that my order was placed with the dealership. Lucky I cancelled it, because I fell in love with the new 2022 color Redwood Metallic. I originally placed my order for an Onyx black Yukon AT4.

With the 6.2L likely not available for a while it's gonna be interesting to see what they do. I would love love love to buy a Yukon Denali the exact way I want it right now but I'm kind of waiting for SuperCruise. Then i think about Escalade ESV to get all I want and it's going to be a super long wait there. Then I consider getting an RST duramax if I can find one ... but then that doesn't really excite me. So I end up doing nothing. I'm on some waitlists to order but as it sits now I'm just hesitant to do anything.

My salesman called this morning, said mine was being converted to a 2023. I advised him if the rumors of no Adaptive Cruise, and a list of other options won't be available this until 1st or 2nd quarter next year they can cancel it and I will go to Toyota or Ford. It will be my first non-GM vehicle. I refuse to take options off the table and get very little in the way of credit back. Why would I order a Denali that ends up being an SLE with Leather seats. He said he understands, but will get back to me on what the constraints are. Unfortunately we had a vehicle get hit while parked and totaled, so our status changed from we would like a replacement vehicle, to a we have to have one soon.

Well, to update...

I continued to do searching all over the country - I spoke to a dealer in CA that was mentioned here, and he was very knowledgeable, but realistic. From Texas, to Utah, to Pennsylvania to California, basically every salesperson told me that 2023 orders were starting soon, but that things like heated steering wheel and adaptive cruise control are "on constraint" with basically no end in sight.

I finally just grew impatient - the "must have" for our list was 4WD and diesel. I really wanted as much of a "premium package" as I could get, and after tons of searching, I found a

2021 Yukon XL SLT in Dark Sky Metallic
9XXX miles, 1 owner
4WD
LM2 diesel
Premium package (I think, no window sticker)

It has:
Heated front/rear seats
Cooled front seats
360 surround cameras w/ the trailer hitch camera...
...trying to figure out how to know if it has the max trailering package
Rear seat entertainment
Seat memory
Full lumbar
Electric sliding center console
Captain's chairs (manual)
Power third row
Full parking sensors front and rear w/ the rear collision warning


Overall, I'm pretty happy - we paid too much, $84,000, but we needed a bigger vehicle NOW and were willing to eat it a bit to get one now vs. wait an indefinite time for a car that wouldn't be optioned the way we want. Sour taste in my mouth with GM in general though the way these things are price-gouged. $84K was actually a "talked down" price, and I got $24,000 at CarMax for our 2017 Mazda CX-5, so we could make a decent down payment.

The only thing I wish we had but don't is the full pano sunroof, but that was basically the tradeoff on finding this truck in a diesel with RSE. The 2021 RSE is a gem given that the 2022 is "nerfed" with fewer features and future cars I guess you can't even get it ("on constraint") Our friend just got a 6.2L 2022 Denali Yukon (not XL), paid way more than us, and doesn't have adaptive cruise, heated rear seats, or even parking sensors. It's just silly out here.

I think we'll drive this one for a few years and see if we get out of this oncoming recession and parts shortage and find ourselves something even better in a few years, but for right now, we're stoked!
I drove from San Marcos, TX to Memphis, TN, averaging about 75-80mph (TX has a lot of 75mph zones) and I got 26.4 mpg and put over 730 miles on a single tank. Very impressed with this truck so far!

i wouldn't post it on here...and you may not honestly want to know what the MSRP was....but you can check the options it has on it by looking at the sticker...


just put your VIN at the end of the link

and yes - the RSE works really well on the 2021s...if you don't have an android, get a throw away one that has screen mirroring capabilities and just use it....if you end up getting an android and haven't used screen mirroring much, there is a setting on the phone that will "fill the screen" on the RSE vs being as displayed on the phone

Easiest way is to look to the left of the steering wheel on the dash there will be a trailer brake controller installed. Also, in the drive mode selector area there will be a button for 4LO (down arrow).

Whoa, that link is money! And whew, sticker shock - $75K OTD in 2021. Dealerships are sure bloodsuckers man!

The RSE is amazing - I have a Pixel phone, so Miracast is easy; I already ordered a small 500GB SSD off of Amazon, 90 degree USB-C cables, and did a test-run of streaming an MP4 to the backseats. Not sure if I'll bother with a streaming setup just yet (we have the 4G LTE activated), but yeah, it's gonna be great for long trips. I can't imagine having the 2022 with just "HDMI 1/2." I'd be livid.

I ordered a Tahoe Premiere last November, still at 1100. I've all but given up hope. I believe I've read that the 2023's order list is out now, or will be soon.
Same here. Premier with Premium+Max Trailer package since January, still at 1100 (pending GM acceptance). I climbed up the waitlist but the configuration was blocking, me naively waiting. Then I found out from a GMC dealer that they have not seen an adaptive cruise control coming in last 5 months. Now we will modify the order to 2023 as they stopped moving the 2022 orders.

When I read the ordering guides, seems that Adaptive Cruise will not be available for start of 2023 production. Who knows when !
