I picked up a Dragy a few weeks ago and finally played around with it today. If you aren't familiar, you can use it to get your 0-60, 1/8, 1/4 mile times based on GPS. Most feedback online about Dragy says it's pretty accurate to actual track times. My main reason was to find out how much I gain from the modifications I will be doing soon on mine. Here's what I got with it:

01 Yukon Denali 207,575 miles, 5660lbs w/ driver @ 3/8 tank. 79 Deg F
Rear seats & spare removed, aftermarket 22s
AFE CAI and Magnaflow catback

0-60 - 8.40s
60' - 2.55s
330' - 6.9s
1/8 - 10.49s @ 68.95mph
1000' - 13.54s @ 80.49mph
1/4 - 16.13s @ 86.34mph

If you believe any of the online calculators (taken with a grain of salt, I know) this puts me around 275hp at the wheels, give or take. It's nice for a rough estimate. Kind of fun to have a ballpark idea of your HP without having to shell out money for an AWD dyno.

It will be interesting to see what numbers I get after doing a cam, heads, headers, bigger injectors and have it tuned.

that thing is pretty accurate. ive seen vids of the car making the pass with the draggy on screen, then the real time slip. off by a hundredth of a second.

been thinking about getting one. but ive got nowhere i can really open up my camaro, be fun for the hoe, but it would be pointless for me to buy it for a stock tahoe. but the camaro's got 600 whp. sadly, i do all my speeding at the drag strip.

keep in mind, ambient temps will make a difference in time, as well as humidity. colder days you'll make more power and go faster, so try to keep track of the temp humidity, get your density altitude as well. depending on temps and humidity the da could be 800 foot one day and 3,000 foot the next. lower the number the better. https://airdensityonline.com/us-track-list/

I'll try to run again when temps/humidity are similar to keep it apples to apples after I get done with it. I wanted to make sure I ran it today since tomorrow the temps and humidity are about to shoot way up around here.

20220212_140005.jpgnot too far off of my numbers from my mx+ scanner with built in performance tracking.
06 z71 L59 5.3 4l60e 3.42s and stock tires/rims. 3rd row was out at the time.
On paper it would have been a good race lol.

Mathematically, you put down 281.87 horsepower at the rear wheels through the quarter mile on that run.

RWHP = Race Weight * ((MPH*.00426)^3)

I used to use a VC2000 and recently picked up a VC200 racing computer. It too is spot on.
