So basically the engine is spot on with regards to the advertised numbers?
Yes. If the correction factors the tuner/programmer used are correct the engine meets GMs performance spec. He said getting some factors correct can be tricky. Has to do with figuring for things like atmospheric conditions, drag coefficient, tire/wheel size, engine accessories load, and other factors I don't recall. Also, I asked him to tune for optimal fuel efficiency; and I don't know how that might effect the numbers.

That is how one of the Jeep forums was for me. I left that forum after I sold the Jeep and bought my Tahoe.

There were a good number of helpful people. But... There were a few really bitter and angry people that had nothing positive or nice to contribute, let alone be helpful. Just waiting to pounce on anything people posted. No matter what was said, they had to find a way to make it an argument. Toxic is how I would describe it most of the time.

From what I have seen here at TYF, you would have to work really hard to get members mad at you. Even when someone is being a Debbie Downer, it seems folks here do an incredible job of maintaining a high level of calm and respect.

This generation of Tahoe/Yukon/Esky owners really do a great job on being respectful and helpful!

Without knowing demographics for the members here, I hate to say it, but... Maybe we are just a little older and mature about things. If not older, we are at least mature enough to know life is too short for petty BS.

Some forums and pages are just that way man.

This forum, my ford truck forum and the old zr2 forum i was part of are al good basic people helping each other.

Much can be done with this platform of vehicle so many ideas can be tried and usually successful at the attempts with a wide variety of mods.

My ford site since the truck platform is at least 26 years old, has all the bases basically covered.
Once in a while a newby will join who just got grandpas old truck and " is going to do longtubes and a cam in the 5.0". Then gets all bent because it is politely explained that while it is easy to put those parts on the truck... now you need injectors because the stock ones barely meet the factory hp rating, the stock heads are going to hold you back because they flow like garbage, fuel pump needs upgrading. Then the big one is the old eec 4 can be tuned...but only certain serial numbers.
Here are your options and all the things you need to make x amount of power.
Well then ill just put in a 351... still need a 351 computer because a 302 computer will only let the 351 put around town. Put your foot in it and you'll go lean and nuke a piston.
So the new member gets mad that its old and costs too much to make power and never posts again. When most guys are just trying to keep the poor soul from getting in over his head and junking a good truck because of operator induced problems

I'm a member of several FB GMT800 platform groups. The general ones tend to be as originally described; the specialty groups seem to be more like here. The Quadrasteer groups are especially nice, but very niche. The Suburban 2500 and the Silverado 2500 groups I'm in seem to be genuinely helpful.

We older people (I'm 69) are a little more mellow. My experience with numbers is that we use them as something firm to make comparison, but so many factors go into numbers you are fooling yourself if you take them as absolute. I am much more into the feel of pulling away smoothly from a stoplight or accelerating onto the expressway. Not into floorboarding anything but I know that is a thrill once in awhile.
