Will 2021+ 22” wheels/tires fit stock height 2015-2020?

Hey everyone, I just picked up a set of stock 2021+ 22” wheels with factory tires. The tires are 275/50/22. This puts them closer to 33” than the stock 32” tires I have on now.

I’d hate to go through the hassle of swapping out the wheel sensors and all if they won’t fit. I know the lug pattern will work, but I’m nervous about rubbing at stock height. Any experience with the fitment?

Regarding wheel/tire combinations that will fit your truck without rubbing, no 2 trucks and their suspensions are exactly alike, due to a number of factors including accumulated wear on the suspension components and different wheel widths and offsets, so there is no guarantee that what fits with no rubbing on one truck will automatically fit with no rubbing on your truck. (though, there should not bee much accumulated wear on a '21 or '22 truck) Other folks' experiences can guide you in one direction or another, but the final test will be when you mount the wheel/tire combination on your own truck.

To assist you in getting a good idea on whether or not specific alternate wheel/tire combinations 'may' fit your truck with no rubbing, I recommend that you use the wheel/tire comparison app at the URL listed below. You can use this app starting with your existing wheel/tire combination as a benchmark, assuming that there are currently no rubbing issues with it, and measure the actual critical fender and suspension component clearances as directed by this app. Then, you can enter alternate wheel/tire combinations, and this app will give you the projected changes in these critical fender and suspension component clearances.

I used this app for determining whether on not I could use my current alternate wheel/tire combination, and it accurately projected the changes in critical clearances. Again, the use of this app in not an absolute guarantee that an alternate wheel/tire combination will fit without rubbing, but it provides a much better assessment, or projection, than simply an educated guess on your part, or a statement from others that it worked on a truck other than yours.

Has anyone tried putting a set of the 22-inch OEM wheels from a 2021+ on your 2015-2020 Tahoe/Yukon? If so, what was your experience?

Well, I went ahead and gave it a try.

2022 RST 22s with the 275/50r/22 tires. Fitment was great. Slight rub on my right front aftermarket mud flap which I easily trimmed to eliminate rub completely.

As mentioned in other threads, the TPMS sensors in the 2021+ do not work in 2020 and earlier vehicles. Swapped those out with a factory set. All good to go.

This looks pretty good. Somewhat surprised you didn't experience more rubbing with the 275/50/R22 tires; That's 32.8" tall tire.

Are you all stock ride height?

With the mud flaps off, there is no rubbing at all. After a slight trim of the mud flap that had an unnecessary edge on it, those are back on with no rubbing at all.

Stock height all the way around. Rides great. Love the larger tires to fill out the wheel well.

I went the other way, 22"'s came on my 18 and I swapped to 20"'ers. No issues either way.

I assume the 2022 rims will fit a 4th Gen Escalade as well? 2018 to be exact... It's already setup with 26s just want something for Winter and long highway trips

Really on the fence about this - tempted to get a set of 23 Denali Ultimate wheels, but I think the extra 4" of wheel will make the ride go to shit, and I really like a smooth ride. Heres a bad fotochop I made...
