2022 Tahoe Z71 Front Passenger Side Fender?

Hello everyone, I have exhausted all other options so I'm posting to see if anyone can provide advice on a frustrating situation. I purchased a 2022 Z71 back in February. I was in the car 6 days and while driving, an uninsured motorist not paying any attention ran a red light and T-***** my Tahoe at ~40 MPH causing significant damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle. The Z71 has been in a body shop since early February and they have every part to fix the vehicle EXCEPT Part #84384211 (Front Passenger Side Fender). The shop received one in but it was damaged and apparently unusable. Like everyone else, they are being told the part is on "National back order with GM". I have looked independently on the different parts websites and nobody seems to have it in stock. The body shop has called dealers and looked at wrecked vehicles but still cannot find it.

My insurance company says I have no other option but to wait because "the part has to come in".

My questions are two fold -

1). Does anyone know of any other sources to look for this part knowing that one has to be out there somewhere?

2). It's clear we are at GM's mercy with the various parts delays, but is there is a situation in which I may never get this part?

I'm a new Tahoe owner so any help is greatly appreciated!

What a frustrating situation. You will eventually get the fender. It may seem like forever, but you won’t be in a situation where you will never get it. It will just take time.

One question-is the fender special for a Z71? I would think other models would interchange. Is it the same part number for all Tahoes, or could you interchange with other trim levels?

Thank you everyone! I called the dealership listed in the link and they said they just sold that part and gave me the name of two other dealerships who may have it so I'll continue to call in the chance someone may have it.

When I searched on Car-Part.com the only part I see is from an aftermarket company. Do you have a link?

When I was desperate for an Air bag part, I called the largest dealer in each of my surrounding states as well as my own with the GM part # I was looking for. They were able to tell me who had the part even though NOT listed on national inventory. Some dealers protect items, and they go unseen on a "generic" search, but I was told that in the same state, dealers can look at each other's on the shelf inventory to help each other out. I did find my item and not every dealer that had it would sell it but that's a different story, but eventually I solved the problem by being relentless, not all dealers are willing to work that hard for you, sometimes you have to take it into your own hands...

The way the page is coded, I can't get you a link to the search results.. but Go to car-part.com. Pick out 2021 Chevy Tahoe, select Fender. You don't need to put in zip, just continue and pick RH on the next page. the Search result page is next, you'll see a couple OEM in box and the used ones in the results
